Avocado!

During our trip last week I tried several of the La Cava margaritas. I had a blood orange, cucumber and avocado, and my husband had a passion fruit that I tasted. Also, when I asked the waitress if they still did a margarita flight, she said no, but when she brought mine, she gave me a sample of a pineapple one.

I went there thinking the blood orange would be my favorite, but the cucumber and avocado were both better. The cucumber was very refreshing, and the avocado was wonderful! It tasted more like a banana daiquiri than an avocado margarita, but it was great!

I also had an "Off to See the Lizard" margarita at Jimmy Buffett's in Universal, but the La Cava ones were better.

Here's a picture of my blood orange and pineapple sample along with my awesome guacamole:

La Cava is now my favorite place to hang out and people watch as well as to get great drinks. There were definitely people having a great time in there!

I didn't like the avocado one and I love avocado. I loved the jalapeno but I believe that one is gone now. I've also done the passion fruit, the blood orange and the pineapple. Pineapple is my second favorite one. I haven't tried the cucumber.

I do love this tequila cave. I wish they'd open a vodka one over in France. :lovestruc

Did you happen to notice if they still had the Magic Blue? The last menu I saw didn't have it listed and I'm not sure if it was an oversight or if its been removed. Thanks!

I don't remember seeing it.

The Jalapeno was definately my favorite! I don't think it's on the menu anymore, but has anybody had success ordering the jalapeno outside of the menu offerings?

I "discovered" La Cava last July when I took my annual WDW trip w/my 3 children. Talk about a little kid in a candy (tequila) store !! I was so excited ! Had the avacado, it was delish. I will be going back again in July, whoop !!!!!:cool1:

I was there on 2/2 and yes they still have the Jalapeno one. I was tempted to get it but ended up with the Cucumber one.
Mmmm mmmm it was very very good!!! ;)
I wanted more but it was a splurge and wasn't budgeted, so only 1 for me this time.
Next time there will be 2 or 3!! LOL

Yummy, I want to try the jalapeno and maybe an avacodo also. I usually end up alone at Epcot with my 9 year old DD because my DH doesn't really love the WS, do you think I could bring my DD in with me to enjoy an app while mommy has a margarita or two? That would help fortify me for all the Kim Possible missions that my DD will want to drag me on.

How late does La Cava stay open? When is the latest we could slip in for a drink to let the crowds die down before exiting the park?

The Jalapeno one was there in december! LOVED that one!! I hope it is still there!! :wizard:

thank you, thank you for going through all those margaritas for us.

Avocado, never thought of it but it sounds tasty.

It's supposed to be open until the closing of the WS. I know I've knocked back a margarita only a few minutes before Illuminations, and there were still plenty of people in there. My guess is that they have last call as they prepare to clear the parks.

I have enjoyed the Blood Orange, Jalapeno, and Pineapple--none stands out as a favorite because I liked them all equally. I had a great margarita at La Hacienda -- Mango/Blueberry/Basil--it was also delicioso! :woohoo:

I think I'm a little too boring :) I have yet to try anything but the original & strawberry. My goal for this August is to try the Jalapeno OR Cucumber--or maybe both :thumbsup2 They sound awful but it seems the majority LOVES them.....

No more margarita flight???:sad1: I was really looking forward to that. Ah, well, maybe they will bring it back by then, our trip is still a ways away :)

I will be very sad if the jalapeno one is off the menu .

So agree about the vodka in France and I think a USA Wine Bar to the side of the American Pavilion would be a nice adult addition also!

I can't recommend the avocado since they started putting Midori in it. They didn't always do that.
