Well we got back sunday night, and it was so sad!! DD didn't want to leave (that's the last time I only do 4 days as we felt like we should have our normal 5 days, so have made a pinkie promise that next year will be 6 days or more) and even my 15 year old son said he was sad to go :sad1:

So what were the highs????

DD getting picked to join in with the Jungle Book parade stop - total fluke as I had no idea where the stops usually happened and this time we went up to It's a Small World rather than the usual Main Street view.

Trying unsuccessfully twice to line up to meet Aladdin and Jasmine, after being told by the CM to come back at a specific time.....which turned into the biggest high ever as he could see the disappointment on out faces, and asked us to wait for when the signings where over and he'd sort something out. And he did!! 10 minutes later, Aladdin's hand, said he'd been waiting to meet his Princess and asked her to walk with him. then Jasmine took the other hand and she said she hoped DD was good at running as it looked like they were going to be mobbed!! The CM took a photo, and Aladdin insisted on signing, even though the pushy mum/dad brigade were out in force and kids were being flung left right and center towards the trio! But Aladdin politely told them he was having a magical moment with his Princess and I wanted to melt!!

Tarzan show....LOVED seeing it again!!! Tarzan is as fit as ever :lmao: and thank goodness for the video camera

Backlot Express....yummy and cheap!! Will eat here again in a shot!! We sat on the Pirates side and both kids loved the theming. Spot on :thumbsup2

Riding Pirates of the Caribbean without DD screaming or closing her eyes, so we did this 6 times as there was never a queue. I suspect this will be different next year with the ride update;)

DD RODE TOWER OF TERROR! With out flinching!! I, on the other hand, reassured myself by asking her every five seconds if she was ok, but she just didn't answer! I thought I was going to die, and she thought it was "a bit scary, but I can handle that!"

Lightning McQueen in the stunt show is a great addition!! Was fun to see him in it and we didn't mind not seeing Herbie.

Lows included :

Our room. It wasn't cleaned properly :scared1: dried up contact lenses were all over the bedside table and the bathroom had see better days! The carpet was stained beyond belief and it also was a bit thread bear just under the bed. But the USB port on the tv charged my video camera so it wasn't that bad. But it was just a place to stay and we wasn't going to complain because it didn't put us off sleeping there.

Mickey :sad2: It's really sad for me to say this, but in Cafe Mickey when we went for breakfast, it was like a zombie approaching you. I'd booked this on purpose so that we were not under pressure to line up anywhere to meet as many of the fab five that we could in that sitting. Mickey walked over, posed for a photo, and walked off! We did complain that he had not signed, they said they would send him back, but NOPE!! We had to give our books to a table he was going to next to get him to sign. I was heartbroken!! Goofy was hilarious, but Mickey?? Dude you need to remember that we have paid to see you and got up at 6.30 on our last day to have breakfast in your presence! IT pains me to sar parades then finding people pushing in front of your so their child could see. ~Um, do what the rest of us do and stand behind your kids, not in front of another adult so you separate a mum from her child *cue a major hissy fit from me that ended up with some fierce words and a stance with elbows that even a bulldozer could not shift!*y it, but that really crushed me big time :sad1:

But we had a FAB trip. Very tiring and emotionally draining at some points, thank goodness for being able to rest back at the hotel.....oh, and DS finally got to lick the Castle so he is now a member of an elite group!! :woohoo:

(have also got the severe Disney Blues and I cried when my Emma picked me up, I just needed that one more day )

Aw massive highs there :cloud9:!!
How old is your DD?

She turned 7 at the end of June, but she is such a girlie girl and we have tried for two years to meet Jasmine and Aladdin :cloud9: I thanked him like a mad woman and he rubbed my arm and shoulder saying that was so lovely to hear - move over Flynn Rider, there's a new Prince in town :rotfl2:

7 year-old girls are perfect companions for DLP :goodvibes - I wish my DD were still 7 :rotfl:!

Amazing we had the exact thing happen to us when we went in April 2010 every one was amazing especially Goofy and Tigger but Mickey would walk past our table every time and blank us then when my sisters birthday cake was brought out he came over for the song and left straight after we have no photos with him!

All the other characters made up for it though as we are going back in 3 weeks :D

Sounds like you had an amazing trip especially with Aladdin & Jasmine:goodvibes

Hi...sounds like you had a great trip ! What's the ride update for potc ?

Welcome back, you family of mad lickers :rotfl2: glad you had a brilliant time although I think maybe the mousekeeper could have done with wearing some contact lens herself! The words ew and gross come to mind. :sad2:

Oh, so do I ::yes:: my youngest was 7 the first time we went to WDW and 8 the first time we went to DLP - an absolutely perfect age.

Welcome back Lisa! Sounds like a fantastic trip (with the exception of the lows!)

Aladdin sounds just perfect! What a magical moment! :wizard:

You should write a complaint about your CM experience, he is the Main Mouse after all, he should know better...

I've loved looking at all your photos - did you have a new camera...?!! ;)
