We joined at SSR! I am SO excited! I had done a lot of research through this website and my good friend (a DVC member) so I was ultra-informed when we arrived at Disney and saw a DVC guide - first thing.
Patti took us through the room tours and my DH was BLOWN AWAY by all of it. I had been telling him about this for months but he never really took any of it in
We had Patti run some numbers on different amounts of points and we thought about it over the weekend. We were in the main pool at CSR trying to find the cons in the deal when we made up our minds.
We bought 270 points at SSR!
Woo-Hoo! 
I think we'll be visiting SSR in December of 2004 and I think I might invite some family to go with us.

PS - I have pictures of the current construction at SSR, if you could tell me how to put them up here, that would be great!
