Well, after stalking these boards for quite a while and doing what I feel is a great amount of research, DH and I sat down and had a long talk about buying into DVC. I think we exhausted every pro and con and decided this really would be a great idea for our family. So needless to say I am thrilled!

Now we wait to find the deal that is best for us. We want to try and save as much as we can but also know we need to make a move and have everything finalized by the end of Jan if we have any shot at booking the Dec 2011 trip we want. So please cross your fingers for us that a great BWV deal comes our way soon!

I would definitely give yourself as much time as possible if you are going resale. A typical process takes 4 - 6 weeks, and that is with Disney waiving ROFR. If something gets bought back, you are looking at double that time frame.

We are actually working with an awesome agent from the Timeshare store, hoping he spots something great before it goes online! I did sign up for email from another company but never got anything! I should look into that again!

Good luck and congratulations! Not sure if history will repeat itself (economy is still down) but last Nov, Dec and Jan there seemed to be ALOT of contracts getting ROFR'D. Not sure why or if timing had anything to do with it but keep an eye on the ROFR thread! Once again good luck!

That so good to hear! About a week ago I sent an email to our agent with a few questions, nothing overly urgent or anything. A few hours later he wrote back and started off with "Sorry for the delay, I am out of the office". Um, delay?! And answering me anyway when you are out?! I have so far been thrilled with the customer service!!

Oh and DBS thanks for the tip, I will keep my eyes on the ROFR thread!!
