Ok, let's see what I want to know.

I start school either the last or second to last week of January. How are prices, crowds, hours, and weather in early-mid January? What is the basic wait for a line (what is it for a simple walk on ride like Pirates of teh Caribbean, for Peter Pan, Space Moutain, Test Tract, etc).

i went the week before MLK weekend and it was empty as could be. splash mtn. 4 times in a row w/o leaving the boat. that was in 99, so i don't know if things have changed...

i do know that Test Track still breaks down as much now as it did then;)

We were there in Jan 2003. Crowds were light and wait times were short or non-existent, except for MLK weekend which was busy.

We went the last week of January once.
There were no lines!!! It is not hot, and sometimes even a little chilly. We would go during this time of the year again though! It was kind of funny to see all the Florida natives freezing with big coats and looking chilly!!!

We went Jan. 4-9 and loved it! The crowds were light and the resorts, epcot, mgm all had Christmas decorations still up and it was great fun to extend our holiday season enjoying them. MK did not still have theirs up. I don't know if this will be the case next year or not. The weather was nice. The afternoons would warm up enough to soak up some sun. The mornings and evenings were cool. Of course, in FL you never know what kind of weather you will get in Jan.:D

You cannot pick a better time to go.

Prices = the best you'll find all year.
crowds = the lowest you'll find all year (except the second & third weekends, that is marathon weekend & MLK weekend).
hours = will be shortened because the crowds are SO low.
weather = great weather, if not a bit chilly at times.

MLK = Martin Luther King, Jr.

His birthday is observed on the third Monday of January, so it's a three day weekend for some folks, making it a somewhat busy weekend.

We were there this past MLK weekend and it was great, EXCEPT there was a cold snap. The temps were in the 30's at night and 40's during the day. They were selling out of gloves (at $8.00 a pair!) and hot chocolate was a huge seller as well. We went to Fantasmic and got a front row center seat about 30 minutes before it started.
