There was GAS Woo-hoo! I was just about to panic, had passed 7 gas stations with NO GAS. I was almost on empty and just started praying Please God, help me find a gas station NOW. And There It Was! I found a gas station with extremely long lines, but at least it had petrol. I had to pay $4.19/GAL, but I can get to work in the morning.


Lord, get some gas in the pipeline for us soon, okay?

What I've seen here is gas retailers refusing to pay wholesalers the price they want per gallon - which is why there was a "shortage" for a couple of days. I wonder if that's what's going on there, too.

Maybe so since it's those same distributors who got at least one gas station in town in trouble with the NC Attorney General's office for potential gas gouging. They were selling gas at one point for $5.66/gallon and saying that their distributor charged them only 30 cents less than that. They said that they'd probably just run out rather than pay that kind of price and peeve off the public.

I think that if any state was gonna bust some cajones for gas gouging it should be the distributors rather than the gas stations.... The gas stations have to charge at least what they pay for it or else lose money..... Bust up a few distributors and maybe they won't try this crap again!

Here in the metro Atlanta its getting pretty difficult. Most people around here commute some distance to get to work--going without gas is just not an option. There is very little public transportation available. I work in a school 10 miles from my house. it's not that far, but it takes me about 25 minutes to get there. If I have gas, that is.
