Ancient park hoppers

No, you have to trade them in for RFID tickets. You can do that at Guest Relations, the TTC or some resorts. Some of them can be added to the Magic Bands, but I would still recommend getting the RFID ticket so you have a backup in hand in case of MB error. :)

Thanks for the reply. Once you have an RFID ticket in hand, can you use them at the gates if they are not linked to magic bands?

I'm contemplating using magic band tickets most days but then on days we want to hop, use physical tickets at the gates to park hop or go into Epcot late. Is this technically possible?

Can you still use old-school park hoppers at the turnstyles?

A while back - last Fall - there were still CMs with hand-held scanners for tickets with mag-stripes, even though the entrance gates themselves had gone rfid-only. Thus the rfid tickets were not an absolute requirement.

Have they done away with this, so that rfid is now the only possibility?

RFID is now the only possibility, but all old tickets can be converted easily at any ticket window.

I had an old park hopper from 1999 that still listed me as a child. It only took a couple moments to get an RDFI ticket and there were no problems.

Yep. MBs are not yet a requirement and you don't have to link tickets to them. Unless you want to make FP+ reservations.

If at all possible, depending on when the passes were purchased, you may want to see if you can find some proof of purchase or terms of use that were associated with your passes.

About a year ago my mom and I took DD to WDW for her first trip and we had some old tickets, from the mid to late 90's, to use and the man at GS at HS tried to tell us that they had expired in 1995 but he would do us a favor and activate them for us. Nice of him I suppose but tickets didn't start expiring until 2005 I believe. Long after those tickets had been purchased.
