It's a bit of an overstatement to say the entire site is concrete.. I just get a mental picture of some suburban California-style campgrounds that are parking lots with utility hookups! The pad is larger than on other types of sites, but it is still surrounded by earth and landscaping. Depending on your site, there may not be a whole lot of earth around the pad (ala some in 1400), or the ground may fall away sharply from the pad, or you may be hemmed in by vegetation but you should be able to set a tent up on a corner of your pad and get three corners staked. You can bring a water jug to anchor the fourth corner (light for travel, fill on site). I set up an EZUp tent on our site and just ran a rope down from the center and tied it to the picnic table, and that worked fine for me.
