Anaheim Weather

Well, this crazy weather has affected me!
When I drove home from work today, I SAW THE TORNADO! It was less than 1/2 a mile away. Man, it was scary yet awesome to see. Right about that time, I was pelted with the most fierce and hard hitting hail I have ever encountered. I called DH in a panic and there was nothing I could do. Just drive along at a slow pace and make it home safely. It is hard to believe that last week we broke records with over 100 degrees and today we had more records with the hail and temps in the 40's. Way CRAZY!!!:scared1:

I went to Disneyland today, ugh!

I dared to actually have my daughter skip school, which we have never done before, and went to California Adventures for the day thinking it would be blazing hot. Well I guess mother nature does not approve of ditching, oops :headache:

I have never seen such crazy weather in one day, then to hear there were tornadoes, its like the Day After Tomorrow.

Glad you made it home safe and sound Linda --where did you see the tornado?

But, you didn't answer the really important question--how busy was it???????

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

It's still to close for me to start checking weather, but I have been keeping an eye on it.

I rememeber when I lived down the street from DLR, my brother and I would run to the park on cold and rainy days. (Of course this was back in the E ticket days)

it was much more crowded than I had imagined it would be, I also saw several large groups of children, but a still very manageable day, we only waited 15 minutes for screamin'. The weather drove most everyone indoors, I had never seen anyone go into the Golden Dreams movie, let alone a crowd

We watched Crush, he talked to my daughter Alice and me. We drew Winnie the Pooh and watched the 3D Muppet movie. We were not dressed properly so we headed home after that, had we had warmer clothes we would have stayed longer. The crowds were definitely getting lighter as the afternoon progressed.

Glad everyone got home okay :flower3:

I am so confused what to pack, lol, with the temp extremes of the past week. It's making me nuts. Generally, warm weather gear with a light jacket and one pair of pants? More pants? The pile keeps changing.

The name of the game is layering. Literally, four days ago it was over 100 here and no one had any idea it would be raining and thundering yesterday. If you could, bring everything from shorts to pants (and maybe a couple of pants).

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the rain will clear by tomorrow--it's been spitting rain off and on today, but nothing like yesterday, and seems to be lightening up just a bit (less clouds--more sun).

For DL, I've packed 4 prs shorts, 4 tshirts, 2 pairs pants, a sweatshirt, and sweater each. I hope that covers it! With the new one bag limits, and needing nicer clothes for Vegas, thats about all I can do. The bathing suits are there, too, but won't come out of the suitcase until Vegas for sure!
