Anyone every stayed here before? It's so cheap, I'm scared......

Is it clean? Bed bugs?

Where exactly is it located also, I can't figure it out.

A lot of people say they don't care for it but I have never had a problem with it. Its where I like to stay and it is within walking distance and I never felt unsafe walking there so I recommend it because it is cheaper.

Its right after DisneyWay, you do have to cross the street at the light, which I recommend crossing on Disneyway and walking down to the park rather then going down across the other hotel and resturant fronts.

We stayed there in October and will be staying again in July.

If you are looking for a 4 star hotel...look elsewhere. If you don't mind a older hotel then this is your place. It was clean and quiet...no noise. It was safe-even left our car unlocked(by accident). The walk is quick.

Bedbugs won't be found here unless the person directly staying before you had them. This is an older hotel and before the DDT ban.

We crossed there too. Much easier and less people. And you get to look at all the stars on the way in!:thumbsup2

We love, love the Anaheim plaza. No, no bedbugs. Yes, yes clean.

We get the delux family suite (there are 6 of us) so that gives us 4 queens, 2 bathrooms, 2 mini fridges and micros and 2 coffee makers. The delux are the newly remolded rooms. Not any more fancy than the others but we did have a nice view of fireworks one night!! Because they are an older hotel you have more space in your room and with 6 people we need the extra space. Enough space for a queen size air mattress when we had extra family with us. Oh and the price....$150 and that's the high season price!!

This is our budget go to place. Its clean, quiet, and safe. Older, yes, but not run down. We like it better than the Ramada across the street. The rooms are bigger and the service better.

I've stayed at the Anaheim Plaza lots of times & have had no problems during my stays. Yes, it is an older hotel, and the furnishings are not the most up-to-date, but the rooms are big (compared to others in the area) and parking is plentiful. The pool is HUGE, and heated, and that's a definite bonus. Another perk is that most of the rooms have either a large (big enough for a couple of adults to sit out on) balcony or an enclosed "yard" if on the lower level.

I just booked this hotel for our September trip literally 10 minutes ago and loved the price for a deluxe family suite - $118/night! There will be 6 females on this trip (ages 15 and above) so we needed somewhere with 2 bathrooms. I sure hope this hotel doesn't disappoint - so far I've read good things!

If you don't expect something super nice, it's not the hilton after all, you should be fine.

So you are going to stay there! I really think you ladies will enjoy your stay and I especially think you will like the bathroom sink area. You can literally fit 3 girls at the counter to get ready. One sink though but plenty of mirror space. Just an FYI ;)

I use that counter space to set up my "kitchen" (boxed cereal, toaster, fruit, snax, etc.) Plenty of room. Can't wait till we go in 10 days!!!

I know what DDT is, but I don't understand what this statement means about the hotel. :confused3 Can you explain?

Without going into detail...DDT is something they used to use and due to stricter laws no longer do. It will kill the bedbugs and many other creatures. One of the reasons that we have seen an increase in bedbugs is all the newer hotels being built do not have DDT.

Although some claim bedbugs were becoming resistant to DDT, the exterminator I spoke to for my hotel says always go with the older hotels.

Since the very effective (and dangerous) pesticide DDT was banned in 1972, I don't see how it would have an effect on bedbugs inside any popular hotel in the US today because of the number of times a hotel may have been remodeled (carpets and furniture removed) and any residue covered with paint.

Maybe I'm still not getting the point of your friend's advice though.

And this is not to say that DDT can't still be found in the environment - soil and water - but I just don't think it's inside well maintained older buildings. And also I suspect it is found outside the US more readily since we exported it until 1985 and some other countries continue to use it.

Yeah, we decided on the Anaheim Plaza, partly because there were no availabilities for the Park Vue suite we wanted and partly because the cost of the Park Vue was a lot more compared to the Anaheim Plaza for the exact same thing! I'm really excited though!

I made reservations with them in a couple weeks. I was interested in their morning breakfast buffet.
Does anyone know if it is worth the $12? Kids eat free so feeding the entire family for $25 is a nice proposition.
If someone can give me a good description of it I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

We stayed here in October 2009 - I really liked the hotel. It is in such a great location and only a short walk to Disneyland. I thought the rooms were very large, and the staff were friendly. The pool was nice too, but we only used it once or twice. :)

scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with ham, salsa, bacon, sausage, toast, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, juice, coffee. Our kids loved it, plenty of good fuel food for hitting the parks!!
