I am really interested in a hotel with a big pool, and I got several replies on another thread about this hotel, and I am very interested in staying here. It has great rates for the time we want to go, but I would love to hear about the hotel from DIS'ers.

thanks!

I think it's a great deal. The pool is HUGE and very nice. The grounds are nice. The room was a bit rough around the edges and the carpet felt "spongy" but the rooms were larger than most and beds comfortable. The hotel is SUPER close to walk to from the parks. From our hotel room door to swiping our tickets at the gate in under 7 minutes. Nice gift shop onsite and I think kids ate free in their breakfast buffet. I would go back - don't think you can beat their prices for so close.

You might also want to check out the Howard Johnson though. A tad bit farther of a walk (by a couple of minutes) but nice pool areas, especially if you have little kids. Rooms are nicer there than AP's and rates comparable if you can get their Entertainment Card rate.

I will agree with everything she said and a little of my own. The room is large and it was nice to have a litlte back yard/porch of your own. The carpet was a little worse for wear but the furnishings were fine. The bed was comfy and it had a coffee maker, great for soup or hot chocolate and oatmeal.
Their little store was the best, good selection and still open when we came back from the parks. There is also a little bar and mini one right outside of it. It was great after a long day in the park one day and Mom needed a little adult refreshment. He even put in a to go cup to take back to my room and enjoy on our back patio, after I put the boy to bed.

The pool was huge and was always clean when we were there.

It's not a fancy hotel but it was passable, no worse than a Motel 6.

I do think it took us longer to walk it than 7 minutes but I was towing a 6 year old at the time. At night it always seems further away:rotfl:
