We stayed at this hotel on July 23-27 and I thought I would let you guys know my thoughts. When I booked this hotel earlier this year price was a big deciding factor, it was around $30 cheaper than any other hotel within my walking distance on Harbor.
I also wrote a trip report on the other page, but here are my thoughts on the hotel.
By maps and pictures the walk was shorter than I expected. I walked from the bag check to the hotel one day in 6 minutes, and then walked very slowly one day passing nobody on purpose and it took me 12 minutes. Most the time I was just under 10 with both lights taken into account. No breakfast here, parking mattered as we were driving and this hotel was cheap at $4 per night when compared to others. Beds were HARD. Nobody in my family complained and I slept okay, but they were hard. Hot water in the shower was scalding to freezing in seconds depending on sink use, or just others in nearby rooms. Staff was nice, but didn't seem like they would do anything extra for me. I wanted to leave a surprise at the front desk for another group and they weren't very keen on the idea. Pool is GREAT and hot tub was nice. AC never really got the room down to the temp we wanted even though we left it on all week. We weren't hot, but we like it cold.
We had two queen bed room with a 10 by 10 fenced patio which was nice for sitting in the sun/drying pool stuff.
Middle of summer prices and we stayed 4 nights with parking and taxes paid $416 in total.
Good-Price, Pool, Patio
Bad-No breakfast, Hard Beds, Shower Temps, AC
Finally the pool and price are the only reasons to stay here and I'm not sure that is enough. I don't think I will be back, but I will miss the pool if we decide to stay elsewhere.
