I looked around and didn't see any reviews (but maybe I missed them). Can anyone tell me what this place is like? How about Disneyland Resort Express? Any advice on rental car companies that are close? We want to rent a car one day and drive to American Girl Place. Thanks everyone! ;)

My Family and I stayed at the Marriott Suites back a couple years ago. It was a very nice hotel and lots of room. Not sure if it is still the case, but the hotel was served by the ART (anaheim resort express) which is not a free shuttle, but it is a very nice service and rarely crowed. I know of no rental car companies that are close. I am sure you could call the hotel and get the scoop.

Hope this helps.

We stayed there for a week in nov/05. I would have to say that being so far out from DL was a pain, and it was the worst trip we have had so far. Being tied to the ART was a huge time waster. Also if the parks are closed early the last shuttle leaves DL 20 or 30 minutes after close ... meaning if it closes at 8 the last shuttle is somewhere around 8:25, and once its gone the people that didnt get on it are stuck there. Also the ART shuts down for an hour and a half in the mid afternoon, so going back to the hotel for a swim/nap is not easy. The hotel itself is fine, not amazing. The service was so so, the restaurant was not really family oriented and the pool area was ok but not very warm (out of the sun) Target was across the street and there was a starbucks in the lobby. The only 2 good things about the place. This time around we are staying directly across the street at the BWPPI as i will NEVER stay so far offsite again.

Good info to know about ART. Thanks! I was considering that as an option. As far as so far offsite that made me giggle - perspective, perspective, perspective. We primarily go to WDW because of proximity and easy travel - the hotels on site are much further from any park than the anaheim marriott is from DL

It's totally about perspective. We went with friends that trip and they picked the hotel ... i had wanted to stay across the street but they won that battle. My family are city dwellers and are used to being close to everything. My husbands commute to work is 10 minutes, we walk to school etc... they live an hour outside of town and drive 2 to 3 hours to work and back every day. They didnt think the commute from the hotel to DL was so bad. To us it was huge.

We just returned home from a stay at the Marriott Suites. We have been to WDW about 13 times with our last stay Christmas '06. DD and Myself have wanted to see DL with trepadations from DH. Had airline vouchers so vistited for the first time on 3/2. Stayed at Marriott Suites. Found it was very clean and easy to get from there to DL. Had rental car and did not find that it was an inconvience to go from hotel to park. Easy access from the freeway and beaches. Red Robin and Outback restaurant out the front door of the hotel. As mentioned in an earlier post Target is across the street. DD - 13 and DS- 11 so we did not have to worry about the little kid thing and driving was not a problem for us. Always stay on property in WDW so to drive was not a problem. We had taken our GPS unit with us so getting around was a breeze. We ate in the restaurant one morning, was OK buffet, nothing to write home about. Did not use the pool. Saw many at our hotel using the ART but we never used it. We would stay there again if we were to visit Anaheim again. Got a good rate through Travelocity.

Again perspective. Prior to staying there i have only stayed onsite or directly across the street. So i am used to walking out of my hotel, crossing the street and there we are at the main gate .... it saves atleast a half an hour getting to the park. All i am saying is that there are no perks of staying there to justify the extra travel.
