My wife got a great rate at Anaheim Marriott for April 2nd and 3rd because she is a travel agent. It will be $113 and change total for the two nights ($49 per night), including taxes. However, I know it isn't extremely close to the parks. In addition, they charge $20 per day for parking which adds another $40 to the price of staying there (now up to $153) and because we have two kids (10 and 4), we don't really want to have to walk that far so ART would be a necessity which will add another $26 for the four of us for two days. That takes the total to stay there up to $179.
I checked in to Desert Inn & Suites and discovered I can stay there for $233 total for the two nights including taxes. Parking is free and the proximity right across the street means walking to and from the parks is easy and quick.
My question is, do you all think it is worth it to spend the extra $54 dollars for the convenience of staying right across the street? I know the Marriott is rated higher than the Desert Inn & Suites but we won't be spending tons of time in the room because we will only have two days in the parks.
Opinions?
