Anaheim Hilton - How Close to Disneyland

I stayed there in 2003 and it was not a walk I was willing to try. The Hilton website said 2 blocks, but those were some really looong blocks.

However ART picks up right in front and we never had to wait very long for one of the shuttles to come.

If the Timon parking lot tram is still running it shouldn't be too bad to walk from the Hilton to where the tram picks up - but I can't say for sure what the status is. I'm sure someone else can advise.

We stayed there in May and cut through the Timon parking lot. If the tram was working, it wasn't too bad, but if the tram wasn't running, it made for a lengthy walk. It was doable (20 minutes?) but may not be if you have young kids, older adults, etc. I don't know if the Timon lot is still open though. Good luck! :thumbsup2

I don't find this a long walk at all. Granted, we don't have children, but it's just not that far. At the end of the day, you might want to take the shuttle back, but the morning walk in shouldn't tire one out that badly!

I think that lot is the one being turned into Carsland, and isn't available at all anymore.

I've walked it and didn't find it taxing. If you are tired or whatever, you can just take the ART as necessary.

As an aside- if you stay there ask for a room with a theme park view. We got one last month for no extra money, and IT WAS AMAZING. Dead on view of Main Street. My DH and I watched the fireworks from our room, with a perfect view! We turned off all the lights in the room. It was incredible. I slept on the side of the bed nearest to DLR, and it was so cool to just look out and watch the park. Ask for a higher floor so you have the best view. Once World of Color opens, you would be able to see that as well from where we were.

AND- we paid a lot less than we have paid in the past for DLH, with a much better view.

I have not stayed there however I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency right next to the Hilton and we did make the walk, however if you have small children it might be too long of a walk after a long day in the parks. The Hyatt had their own personal shuttle that took us back and forth.....perhaps the Hilton does as well.:confused3

According to Google maps it's 1.5 miles.
We stayed there, and walked it no problem with small kids. Well, my mother in law was along and didn't like it.
But, I walk 2 miles every work day on my lunch break.

We have stayed at the Hilton the last three trips. When Timon parking was open, it was a ten minute walk to the tram loading area. We walked back and forth twice each day with no problems, even with twins under six. Now that the lot is closed I would say art shuttle is the best choice, as if you have to walk all the way to the main enterence that would be a hike back at the end of a long day.
