I can empathize with cindyluwho, too. I always tie thin red ribbons all over our bags. When we got off the cruise, seemed like everyone had "stolen" my idea. Could not fathom the number of folks who had tied thin red ribbons to their bags. Had to check the luggage tags.
A note to new cruisers: Even though they sort the bags according to Mickey and Donald, etc, each of these areas is pretty vast. Think about how many bodies were on the cruise then multiply by several bags. 99.9999% seemed to be black. I noted one set of bags tied with bright turquoise bandanas, they were east to spot. This next trip I am going to find something REALLY obnoxious to tie on our luggage. Loved the old quote in the Sehlinger guide book where a family tied a clear plastic bag with a disposable diaper doused with cola to their stroller. NOBODY took their stuff.
