An OKW question and a banking/borrowing question

Hi everyone --

It's been a really long time since I posted, but I've learned a lot just by lurking and reading. Now I have a couple of questions -- let's do the easy one first:

-- We're thinking about a week at OKW this summer with another family. I've checked and, as of now, there is not a Grand Villa available for our time frame. I will go wait list for one, but in the meantime: are there any 2-BR units that connect to a 1 BR? I'm guessing that the answer is no, but that we can get side-by-side units with separate entrances. (I also know that Member Services can probably supply this info, but I'd like to know beforehand...)

OK, on to question #2, about banking/borrowing:

-- We have an August use year. We're carrying about 39 points that were banked from the Aug. 2003 year and will expire on July 31. We've banked our 2004-05 points, so they will not be available until Aug. 1. If we want to begin our stay in late July, can we borrow 2005 use year points to do that? I don't see any reason we can't, but I'm not nearly as familiar with the rules & regs as many of you.

Thanks for your info and advice....

Bruce (still in PA, for now)

Yes, you can borrow your points that have not been banked, back into this year. Then you can use your banked points after August 1.

Bruce,

This one might not be as easy as you assume. You can request a 2BR that is near a 1BR unit, but there is no guarantee that they will be side-by-side or even in the same building. As long as you know it is a request, and not something MS can guarantee, you will be fine.

When we have requested two units near each other at OKW, we have always gotten them in the same building and on the same floor, but of course, different stairways.

You would be correct. No 2bdrm's that connect to any other units 1bdrm or otherwise (a lock-off 2bdrm would be a studio and 1bdrm connected to each other but do not connect to any other units). As mentioned though, you can request to have a 2bdrm near the 1bdrm that you book.

Guess we'll get the ball rolling...thanks for your quick answers! With a little luck, we'll be back Home in early August.
