‘Twas our vacation at Disney, 6 nights to be exact, and neither one of us, of course, is glad to be back
We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, my new favorite resort, and just to do something different, here’s my poetic trip report…….

There were two of us this trip, two girls on the town, but sadly it was because I couldn’t find anyone else to come down!

Upon arrival in Orlando, Tiffany Town Car whisked us away and we arrived at BWI without any delay.

The weather was sunny, with highs nearing 80 - it stayed that way all week, which we thought was really great-y.

We started at Epcot, walking through the back way, had some food in Morocco – veggie wrap and chicken rotisserie.

Both were tasty and devoured and were just the right amount, leaving room for a funnel cake in America – on vacation calories don’t count!

The crowds were pretty light for being so close to the parade and shows but being tired from travel, we headed back to take a doze.

Monday found us at Animal Kingdom, on the behind the scenes tour. It was the highlight of the week and we couldn’t recommend it more.

After lunch at Tusker House, again a veggie wrap and chicken, we set out to the GF salon to see if we could get some haircuts in

After very pricey hairdos we monorailed over to the Contemporary, where we had appetizers at the California Grill that were very exemplary

A flatbread of cheese, a fancy ravioli, we even saw the MK fireworks from our seats before the meal was all over-y.

We hung out at the Boardwalk, on a beautiful night. That whole area after dark is one of my all time favorite sights!

Tuesday morning started out with a PS for the Crystal Palace, we got in before park opening, marching right past the crowds and Mad Hatter and Alice.

Breakfast with the Pooh gang is always a whole lot of fun, but that buffet makes it hard to remember that you’re just eating for one!

We did all the rides that we wanted without any waits and headed out around noon for an Epcotian date.

We managed to sneak in a few rides in future world, then toured a few countries – you just can never get bored!

That night we went to Pleasure Island but only to our 2 favorites, the Comedy and Adventure’s clubs do so much to raise your spirits!

Wednesday was the Studios day and there wasn’t a crowd in sight. We walked onto almost everything and sometimes enjoyed back to back rides!

We played Millionaire twice and made it into the top ten 3 times – this attraction's so much fun not fitting it into your plans would be a crime!

We ate at Mama Melrose as part of the Fantasmic deal, no matter what I had read about this place we really enjoyed our meal.

A 4 cheese flatbread and a rib eye steak that came with melted butter and was so good it rated the sacred "better than my mother’s"!!

This was my first time seeing Fantasmic and I just thought it was great. It’s a must see from now on but I’ll do the dinner package to avoid a long wait.

Thursday morning was a return trip to Animal Kingdom to my favorite safari ride, we checked out the new Dinoland area which looks like a fun time.

For some awful reason I had caught a bad cold so I tired and had to go back for an afternoon nap - just like a 3 year old.

After resting up for a bit, we headed back over to Epcot – if you’re thinking your wrong in guessing it’s my favorite park, don’t worry you’re not!

We had Mexican for lunch followed by a no line ride on Test Track. Going on this right after nachos probably wasn’t the best plan of attack!

So what better way to then settle the gut than a ride on Body Wars – what are we, nuts??

It was quiet in Epcot so we hit all the lands and then headed to watch Illuminations even finding a good seat so we didn’t have to stand!

Friday morning began at MK but for just a few things - the crowds were beginning to swell so we flew out of there like we had wings!

Went to Downtown Disney and at Wolfgang Puck’s did eat – come on, rhyming something with Puck? I’m not heading down that street!

We had a very nice lunch and headed over to World of Disney to shop, I think I spent enough there to give my bank statement a big drop!

Had to stop at Ghirardelli’s for some ice cream as a treat – if you’re going to gain the weight anyway you might as well do it with something chocolately sweet!

Back to the Boardwalk for my preschooler nap, by now my cold had progressed to an all out tissue fest that left my nose all chapped!

Our last night as Disney so we went – where else – back to Epcot. Had dinner in Japan at the little Tempura spot.

Very tasty meal with tempura veggies and shrimp – we didn’t try the soup, what can I say we were wimps!

A final stop in the stores and a final beer in the pub, this was one of the greatest vacations ever and you can quote me on that bub!

Saturday morning was an early flight so the adventure stops there but here are my final thoughts, if any of you still care:

We had a great trip and accomplished a lot, tried some things for the first time and revisited things we’d forgot.

I'd stay at the BWI again in an instant , I'd go again in January - I think it's the best month but that's only my opinion.

The cutbacks didn't bother me and I enjoyed the new attractions, I encountered only wonderful cast members and positive reactions.

And with all that’s occurred these last few months and a future that lies untold, it’s very comforting that, for me, the Disney Magic never grows old!!

Such a cute way to write your report. :) Sounds like everyone had fun and I have to agree with eating at Ghirardelli’s, why not enjoy yourself. :D

bravo - bravo!

great job on the the ode to disney!

Such a great trip report, and very hard work,
if we didn't say thanks, you'd think us all jerks!

What fun you both had, I'm sure you'll go back,
and when you write again, we hope poetic you'll wax!!!
