An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

It's a bummer to change, but it looks like your changes made a lot of sense, so good move.

A couple of words I liked in this post....

First, "tourons". Please tell me this is a combination of tourists and morons. If so, I love it!

Second, "Chaostan". Took me a sec to "get it", but I like it.

Thanks, I think. Not sure where the donkey comments are coming from :confused3 I guess that's what happens when you don't follow every detail of every report, but there's just no time for that.

I think Liesa was calling me a jacka... a donkey. That's how I took it anyways. LOL

I'm a disaster working out in the morning unless it's a class with someone yelling at me!

Such a disaster I spaced that I should have gone to the 5:30 am body pump, to get yelled at!

MUCH better!

I just won't plain get up. Yelling or no. Ah well... I'm convinced people are hardwired one way or the other. I have some kids who are up early, others who need to be pried out of bed with a crowbar. Like me.

The only day I'm a little worried about is our (new) full AK day which has us going to RD, leaving at 11:00 for Sanaa, going back to AK to tour until 5:30 and then to JIKO. That's realistically only 2 hours (at best) in the AM, then if we get back to AK around 1:30, then only 4 more hours. I guess it's enough time. :confused3 Thoughts??

Thanks for the recommendation! My minor in college was Latin American Studies, so I kind of "get" it, but it will be good to have a broader reminder. :thumbsup2

On another note, I think the crowd-avoidance changes will be for the better. Sometimes a big crowd can just make a day miserable.

Now I'm going to disappear for a week again to go to Disneyland and DH's hometown. Maybe I can drive them crazy by being on time :scratchin :rotfl:

Donkey was my nice way of saying that Tim was being a smart hiney. I can't even remember what it was over now, we've had some other banter over on TKs thread that was just as smart alek-ish.

We totally get it, not being able to read every line, all the time. I'm about to leave for 3 WEEKS!!! coming up soon. I can't imagine I'll be able to go back and read everything- so REALLY NO worries!!! :goodvibes

I'd love to sneak into your suitcase, though. I'd love to hang out in my old stomping grounds where I was a CM- ahhhh... those were the days! :cloud9:

Well glad you were able to make the changes nicely.

Speaking of packing...I need to be packing up to go home for the summer as we speak..I'm such a procrasinator!

NO procrastinating allowed!! Pack like the wind, Tink and safe travels "home"! Are you totally done??

CRIKEY!!! 2 Ninja posts trying sneak in there!!!!

Yes, I NEED these to be our last changes! Emotionally and logistically. Really!

But, I do trust maroo completely, and I think you're right, they are good changes. Esp. the relaxing AM after a long night and LeeAnn's day of travel.

Yes, tourons= Tourist+Moron. I learned that in my wild college days from the Geologist friends we hung out with- who were almost violently against Winnebegos and such.

I can't take credit for Chaostan. I got that from Richard Mayberry. Familiar with this economist?? He wrote Whatever Happened to Penny Candy. A MUST READ!!! He has a website too.

I think Liesa was calling me a jacka... a donkey. That's how I took it anyways. LOL

Bingo!

eeeeeeeee haaawwwwwwwwwwww!

Okay, I just spit out my coffee after reading this.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

You know, this may come back to bite you someday. :rotfl2:

Liesa, I am POSITIVE it will. :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, it had to happen. Now that we are down to the final (I hope) stages of fine-tuning the Plan of Attack, a few changes were inevitible. REALLY! What kind of REAL DISCompany would this be without making a few adustments to make the touring intinerary EVEN BETTER??!!

So Mary calls me up the other night, and says she's been keeping an eye on TGM. I don't subscribe, and personally, am not really too concerned about crowds. The majority of the stuff I want to see and do aren't the Headliners. But, she is right- even Streetmosphere is hard to enjoy with a bazillion other tourons standing in front of you. And it would be nice to see IaSW be a walk-on, right?

And since we are movers and shakers by nature, we decided to shake things up a bit. Not much, but enough to get rid of 2 RED days almost completely.

I won't go into details other than to say, that our RELAX morning at the Poly and KONA ADR is now on the morning after our REALLY late MK EMH- which makes more sense.

Then on Days 7 and 8, we basically swapped our MK and AK days, changing our Sanaa ADR.

REMEMBER The Entire Plan of Attack Post?? (The one that I just discovered was mis-linked) Yeah, that one. I made all the changes there, like I said I would (I guess that was self-fulfilling prophecy right there!) So, when we are revelling in our Days of Victory, YOU can conveniently click there (and now go to the RIGHT post) and follow along. Isn't that nifty??

I really, really hope that this one sticks. I need to get my final pages to my Trip Journal printed and pasted in, and PACKED!!!! It's less than one month before we take off to Chaostan for 3 weeks, and I want VERY little to do planning-wise between getting back from there and leaving Blankistan.

Happy Trails!

I think the switch for these two days is the best plan! :)

Knowing how we operate, I'm sure it will too. However, I'll bet he's cooking up some keen retaliation too. I'm going easy on this one.

Plans are looking REALLY good now. ;)

another ninja post... I'm getting good at that. :cool1:

Did you see this? http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...(Disney+Parks+Blog)&utm_content=Google+Reader

Where have you been? IF YOU VISITED THE RESORT FORUM ONCE IN AWHILE (CSR??? Remember that place), you'd know there was a huge thread going on about this new resort.

You are right...he's a sneaky one that Timmy of ours. :rotfl2:

I hope you didn't ruin anything with that recycled coffee!!! :lmao::lmao:

Ummmmmmm. I can't wait to see when it will come full circle! :worship:

No, just splotches all over my screen, thank you very much. :

You scare me...I may stay out of this one. ;)

New resort?? I just wish they'd finish the POP Legendary Years.

:lmao::lmao:

OK, it's official. I'm really, really sad they probably won't finish the Legendary side, but scrap it for more self- promotion. Boo!

Hi Liesa,

All caught up!! Whew! :yay:

I as well have decided you must embrace birthdays! I keep telling myself it is just a number - but the number coming up for me next year (50) -! It sneaks up on you fast - I certainly don't feel close to that age!

Sounded like a wonderful birthday celebration! What a spread you had! I would have taken a nap as well with 3 rounds of celebrating! And I would have been up 5 times at least with all of that tea drinking too! Loved the video.

I can't imagine what a wealth of knowledge and spiritual wealth you have gained by living there. And of course how much the people you have had contact with have gained by you being there. It is something that most people don't experience and I would imagine has enriched your life greatly.

I wish they'd finished the Legendary Years too! The new plan sounds like another ASMovies, but it will be great for families, with all the new Suites and that's a good thing. :thumbsup2

Darn..was about to write something else, but it evaporated from my brain..old age ain't always pretty. :rotfl:

OH!!! The change looks good!! I'm pretty laid back and don't do any of the "exciting" attractions with long lines, but all for avoiding humongous crowds. ::yes:: Never check any of the crowd levels, but we tend to go at a bit slower times...although early December is changing now - not so quiet anymore. :teeth:

I was just thinking..what are we all going to do/read when you guys are enjoying your WDW trip!!?? :confused3 :goodvibes

I mostly lurk over there.. I'll come and say hi soon. :hippie:

Who is Timmy? :scratchin

No, just splotches all over my screen, thank you very much.
Good! Nothing a little paper towel can't take care of!

Good idea!!!! :idea::idea:

I can see both sides... But I do like going back to a resort and not having DISNEY screaming at me with every turn. I do like the fact that there will be a lot of suites. ::yes::

50!!! OK, for some reason, your Avatar pic threw me WAY off. I thought that was you. Well, if it IS you, then you look like you're around 20, not 50! :lmao: You must be drop dead gorgeous if your daughter or son (or both) look anything like you :goodvibes

He's not a bad singer for not having ever studied guitar or singing. I think the fact that it was heartfelt made all the difference.

We have a different perspective on a lot of things, that's for sure. I really have to guard my heart against many kinds of cynicism when we return. Some are legitimate (like wastefulness) others are not.

We have learned to be much more patient, I think, and more tolerant, of some things. And more prayerful for sure!

We wouldn't trade (most of) our time here for anything. It's right where God had us be for this time.:worship:

Yes, suites are good, but why not something with the Roaring 20's, Tough Times 30's , War Years 40's and Fabulous 50's. I would LOVE to stay in a resort that piped out fun swing music.

Ah welll...... I'm just little.

I do like the lower crowd potential!! ::yes::

Why, you'll read the TR, of coursE!!! :lmao::lmao:

That's me! Just a nicely themed and landscaped, quiet, relaxing place to go after a long sensory- overloaded day at the parks. :confused3

Liesa, may I invade your thread for a moment? Don't want to post this so publicly on the resort board...Because there are so many great folks here whose opinions I would count...would anyone like to offer an opinion, please? We had to switch from the Poly...went to BC, which I love during the holidays, but it's not that much of a savings....we've stayed at every resort except WL, OKW, CSR, AS.....any suggestions??? (Kathy, let me guess!! ;) ) Thanks!

...and Liesa, I promise not to keep any discussion going....just want to gather the suggestions...thank you!!

I would recommend the CBR. :rotfl::rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Would you like to try another mod? That would be significant savings over BC. I have seen the pics of CSR during Christmas and it looks amazing. What about POR? I'm sure it looks wonderful during the holidays.

We stayed at CBR for 2 days in March and while my DW loved it, I thought it was just OK. I didn't like how spread out it was.

Feel free to hi-jack this TR at any time. I give you permission! :rotfl2:

Just don't forget to add this little guy--> pirate:
