An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

I forgot to comment... congrats on finishing your running!!!! WTG! :thumbsup2

Why thank you! You're the only one who did; but then again, it was sort of a buried comment- sort snuck in there. I did all of it on the track yesterday, and I really enjoyed that. No dodging cars, or breathing road dust. It went pretty fast.

Still sportin' jello legs after the run, but that will slow down I think. :confused3

See.. I guess you can call me a lurker then. Even if I don't post I still read what is going on. ;)

I pulled a muscle in my back at the gym on Monday.. hurts pretty bad, but not as bad as it has in the past when I've hurt it. Now I won't be able to run for a few days. UGH. I hope it is better by Thursday. I'd like to run a couple miles on Thursday. popcorn::

Then you're like me. Once I become "emotionally invested" into a TR or PTR, I rarely ever skip ANY of the chit chat. It's what makes them "alive" to me. Otherwise, it's just an info. dump. I can read the info pages for that. Right?

Bummer on the pulled muscle!! Ice. Jacuzzi. Repeat.

And that's where we're different. I'd be rejoicing and doing a happy dance (in my heart) that I had a legit excuse to NOT run. :lmao:

Sometimes it is a full time job following a TR. ie. Jordans I really do try to read all the inbetween but when I check on it after a weekend and I'm 10-15 pages behind, i just skim. ;)

I need a jacuzzi. That would be heavenly. :cloud9:

LOL you have to keep at it... or you end up starting over again. :scared1:

Time for me to hit the hay... it's already 1:30 here. :rolleyes1

I do understand, that. And I confess, on that one I do skim more than I like to. But it's a necessity.

I know. I can feel a difference even if I put 3 days in between a run instead of the normal one or 2.

Have a great sleep!

Good to hear that your running is improving! I decided to try running in the morning before work today. Not so sure about it... I feel pretty good about having already started the day with a run, but my body feels pretty tired... :confused3

I am just sooooooooo not a morning person. I have no problem staying up til 12 or 1, but get me up before 9, and I can be pretty grouchy. So starting the day off with something I really don't want to be doing in the first place would be a recipe for disaster. :scared:

HOWEVER, having said that, I understand the idea of doing it and getting it over with, too.

I do feel like I need to figure out what is best for me to eat an hour or so before. Still working on that.

Leisa, I enjoyed your 2nd party so much! I think I recognize that song, just can't put my finger on it. I think the tune is from a praise song I've heard here. What a blessing you've been there.

I'm not a morning person, either. Can you tell by the time I post? I still get up pretty early, just don't need much sleep, but I do need much coffee :goodvibes I do not excercise before about 11, so I don't get it done much because my day gets too busy before I get to it.

I'm praying things go well with your passports, etc.

I don't know how much of a blessing we've been, but WE sure have been blessed. Often works that way when we step out of our comfort zone, and into inadequate plumbing. :lmao:

Yes, Tammie, I did notice you were quite a night owl! Even more so than me, maybe. ;)

Thanks!! I won't feel better until they are safely in my travel pouchy thingy again.

My answer would be: :banana::banana::banana:

(Well, actually only one banana, but three looked better... :goodvibes)

That for me, would be the quickest weight loss plan ever! Blech!

Yeah, I like to use smilies in groups of 3s too.

Well, it had to happen. Now that we are down to the final (I hope) stages of fine-tuning the Plan of Attack, a few changes were inevitible. REALLY! What kind of REAL DISCompany would this be without making a few adustments to make the touring intinerary EVEN BETTER??!!

So Mary calls me up the other night, and says she's been keeping an eye on TGM. I don't subscribe, and personally, am not really too concerned about crowds. The majority of the stuff I want to see and do aren't the Headliners. But, she is right- even Streetmosphere is hard to enjoy with a bazillion other tourons standing in front of you. And it would be nice to see IaSW be a walk-on, right?

And since we are movers and shakers by nature, we decided to shake things up a bit. Not much, but enough to get rid of 2 RED days almost completely.

I won't go into details other than to say, that our RELAX morning at the Poly and KONA ADR is now on the morning after our REALLY late MK EMH- which makes more sense.

Then on Days 7 and 8, we basically swapped our MK and AK days, changing our Sanaa ADR.

REMEMBER The Entire Plan of Attack Post?? (The one that I just discovered was mis-linked) Yeah, that one. I made all the changes there, like I said I would (I guess that was self-fulfilling prophecy right there!) So, when we are revelling in our Days of Victory, YOU can conveniently click there (and now go to the RIGHT post) and follow along. Isn't that nifty??

I really, really hope that this one sticks. I need to get my final pages to my Trip Journal printed and pasted in, and PACKED!!!! It's less than one month before we take off to Chaostan for 3 weeks, and I want VERY little to do planning-wise between getting back from there and leaving Blankistan.

Happy Trails!

woo hoo!

I really think we are done planning! :rolleyes1

And I am usually the "changer"...so that is a good sign!

Now...if I can just plan JUNE...now that I have less than a month to go...:goodvibes

I am super excited to be getting out of some of those red days!:dance3::dance3:

It sounds like the changes weren't too major. I'm all for avoiding as much of the crowds as I can. Sometimes they can make such a big difference in how you feel about your trip.

I'm a disaster working out in the morning unless it's a class with someone yelling at me!

Such a disaster I spaced that I should have gone to the 5:30 am body pump, to get yelled at!

MUCH better!

There's a GREAT book on this that we were required to read called Hot and Cold Cultures. It gives really good insight on those VERY big differences.

Thanks for the recommendation! My minor in college was Latin American Studies, so I kind of "get" it, but it will be good to have a broader reminder. :thumbsup2

Smooth move!!!!!!!! Nicely done! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Thanks, I think. Not sure where the donkey comments are coming from :confused3 I guess that's what happens when you don't follow every detail of every report, but there's just no time for that.

On another note, I think the crowd-avoidance changes will be for the better. Sometimes a big crowd can just make a day miserable.

Now I'm going to disappear for a week again to go to Disneyland and DH's hometown. Maybe I can drive them crazy by being on time :scratchin :rotfl:

Well glad you were able to make the changes nicely.

Speaking of packing...I need to be packing up to go home for the summer as we speak..I'm such a procrasinator!
