An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

So Blankistan doesn't even know garlic! :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Which according to my father is one of the major food groups btw... :goodvibes

I like your dad! He sounds like my kind of guy! :thumbsup2

And yes Korean's know how to use their garlic! My first Apt. was over the Apt. of a Korean family, I could smell my Apt. building from the parking lot.

Count me in, too!!

However, I must admit, that I have started to kind of accept Illumination for what it is: a great firework show with annoying pauses inbetween. I think it really helps to have a good viewing spot also. I figured out that the best spot is actually just at the entrance of WS, coming from FW. There is quite a big plaza there between the two small shops. Supposedly this is the main focal point for the show as well. And in January I never had a problem getting a spot there 15 minutes before show start. Since there is a slight slope down towards the water, you don't have to be in the first row to see something.

No flames: I absolutely agree! :thumbsup2
 Thank you.

Funny you should put it this way...I've only seen it the one time, and already I've adopted the attitude you have about it being a great fireworks show with pauses in it. I'll have to try your suggestion of being in the front of WS next time and see if it changes my point of view, literally! :rotfl:

Lauren ran for "Executive" Vice President - which is basically the Vice President of the Student Body - at her high school this week.

SHE WON!!!!!!!!!

We are so proud of her!!!

And I knew her "followers" on the DIS would want to know. :)

This is outstanding!!! WooHooo! :woohoo:

You inspired me to have a indoor plumbing appreciation day! I gave my potty a hug.

No joke! Praise God for the indoor potty!! :worship:

I hope someone doesn't step in what I"m tossing across the street! Can't go down the drain, and there's really nowhere else.... UGH!!! Those Poly potties better work- ALL THE TIME!

sicksmilie.gif

Are you shooting for the world's record of posts in a row on this PTR?? :lmao::lmao::lmao: I wish I could go to bed, but Zachy is tossing his cookies every 1/2 hour. Blech.

Poor baby, I hope he's feeling better and that you actually got some sleep.

Liessa your solo days plans sound great !!I wish I knew if I could come in September BUT finances are really bad and I have to wait to see if I get a free trip with The ESCORT service!!!:rotfl2:

By the way Leisa, I'm all in for you putting a little extra for your souvies, and the Behind the Seeds tour. I'm not sure how much that would leave you with, but a little extra time walking the WS while shopping I think is a must, there is so much to see without having to spend a lot of time in the shops.

Your last iten. looks good girl! :thumbsup2

Hey Everyone,

It ended up being a very difficult night. I'm tired, and have a ton of work to do.... without water still.

Will try to sneak on a little later on. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about the rough night. Oh what a time to have sewer issues. I hope you have a better day today! Rainy here tonight. Which gives me the urge to sing. And hug a lamppost. But I won't. Cause the beagle would start howling and wake First Lady Biscuit up. And believe you me, that is a bad deal for all parties involved. My train of thought seems to have derailed. Speaking of trains, I saw a train today and was irritated I had to wait on it. Then I remembered how much I enjoyed the train at WDW and had to ponder the irony. That also was a pointless digression. Just in case you were wondering.

The plans for your itinerary look nifty. I know you ladies will have a fantabulous time. Whatever that is. Until next time, may all your pipes freely flow. And since it is spring, may your attemps to fart radishes be fruitful.

I hope you're getting some sleep!

Got a few hours. Not too shabby, as finally tucked in around 3 and got up around 8.

I think all of the days look pretty good, lots of running around on day 6, but still do-able!

As for your extra cash, I would definitely do the Behind the Seeds Tour since it's only $16 and you are interested and can fit it into your solo day.

Day 6 will be packed, but it's LeeAnn's 2nd day, and she should still have loads of energy.

I"m almost convinced about the Seeds tour. I think I'll call on Monday.

I would pass on the Illuminations cruise. We actually like Illuminations, but were disappointed when we did it a few years ago, b/c the smoke from the fireworks was blowing towards where our boat stopped and we could see even less than usual.

Oh, good point about the smoke. Someone else mentioned that too, and I can see where that woudl totally ruin it.

As for the rest of the $, I am torn between Hoop or spending more on souvies in Epcot. Both are tempting. I would probably go for the souvies myself.

Poor baby (and mommy!). I hope he's feeling better!

Maybe both... :confused3:rolleyes1 He's fevering and sleeping now. Hope it leaves quickly!

Can't remember what was funny, but I'll laugh some more with you. :lmao::lmao:

I was thinking a lot about my potty last night, I'll tell you!

We'll be there at least twice, so I know I'll have plenty of time to just relax and browse too. I'm planning on the Moroccan Pav. tour, and seeing the entertainment in each one too.

That was quite a winding road we just took together full of adventure and weird. It totally reminded me of A Series of Unfortunate Events- which is one of my all-time favorites.

Pipes are slowly coming back online (cement needed to set)- can't flush, but can wash hands at least! WOOOHOO!

Radishes remind me that it's time for another "Day in the Life" story...

 I thought it might have been. Hope your day shapes up better than your night. Just remember you only have a few more short months and you'll be back here in the states where toilets work, and if they don't we have plumbers who know what to do for you....and speak the same language....hopefully.

We had the same issue with toilets not working but with a house full of people who had the flu.....right after Thanksgiving. G.B., your to funny! It's good to see you on here! We've missed you! :yay:

I think your days 1 to 6 look wonderful! And the great thing is: you will have another set of wonderful days following these! I am really envious of your long stay at WDW! But after those recent events, I think you have earned every single second of it the hard way!! :scared1:

Funny you should put it this way...I've only seen it the one time, and already I've adopted the attitude you have about it being a great fireworks show with pauses in it. I'll have to try your suggestion of being in the front of WS next time and see if it changes my point of view, literally! :rotfl:

I am sure you will like it better the second time round. Since your expectations are going to be so much lower you will surprised how wonderful parts of it really are. Still, for me it is enough to see it once during a trip - Wishes on the other hand I would love to see every night! :goodvibes

I hope things will improve from now on!! I hope this streak of bad luck is over now (according to my mother these things tend to come three at a time, so with the electronic mishap, the sewer and the illness, your three events should be over now).

One bathroom, and especially NO bathroom is pretty tough when sickness strikes. I hope the last 4 months here (we have exactly 4 months to the day today) will be sickness free!! Plumbing issues free, and easy-ish. We have too much else to do to worry about that!

Wait till you see the 2nd half- LOTS of fun stuff still coming up!

You know it's funny, as our hearts make the switch from here to there, we have become less tolerant and a bit crabby. My ladies are blowing off quilting like I have all the time in the world to give make up classes, everyone and their brother is clamoring for our stuff, ugh!! I really need to guard my heart against this stuff and be cheerful until we get on the plane.

We say that too. Hopefully you are right- this should be it for a while anyway. :worship:

I sniffed out some sort of sewage problem..........

Okay, back to your days 1-6. My ONLY question is are you okay with Evening EMH at MK and then doubling back for an AM EMH at AK? If so...everything looks good:thumbsup2

Dude, You're certainly pulling some late night action!!

I asked LeeAnn if she's wanting to do that, and she said, "When else are we going to get to party like this??!!"

I think we're up for it. At least once. ;)

I think your days look great - the right mix of relaxed touring and frenzied fun!

So sorry to hear you had a rough night! I hope he feels better today.

It is funny you mentioned how you were getting less tolerant of some of the struggles over there - I was wondering if your impending return to the states makes you long for some of the comforts that we take for granted. Kinda like you don't miss what you know you can't have but now that you know you will have it soon it makes you really want it. Okay - I don't know if that made any sense at all so just ignore me - LOL!

Mary - I will give you my full Universal review after our trip in 29 days!

I like it so far too, but am totally open to suggestions on how to fine tune it or hints on what we've got to make it go smoother!!

YES!!! That's exactly what I was meaning- you stated it perfectly! I will miss the friends we've made here terribly, but NOT the hardships of daily living!

Does anyone else find it odd, that as I was doing my pedi this evening, I was thinking to myself...

Hmmm... only a couple more pedies to go until I do my REALLY special one the night before I leave for WDW!!!

Other odd countdowns that have made it into the Odd Box:

1) I will likely only bake one more batch of chocolate chip cookies until we leave.

2) Only 6 more tubes of toothpaste to use before we head out.

3) Only 4 more Sundays at our local fellowship.

4) Mike will only wash the car about 3 more times, or at least make the kids do it for him.

5) NO more heating bills to pay!!

6) 4 more birthdays to celebrate.

7) 2 more national holidays to get to watch fireworks from my living room window.

Funny the things we gauge our time by...

Tee Hee. My thoughts exactly..... :scratchin

when are you leaving? I was thinking it wasn't untill the end of summer, but you said only 4 more sundays at your local church.....I'm confuzzled.

I do those little count downs too, it helps to pass the time.
