An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Thanks - I'll be sure to check that site! :goodvibes

Boo!

*****

Last night on my way home from work I saw a license plate that reminded me of you:

JS7OFUS

How crazy is that?! Did you know someone in AZ stole your identity? ;)

Theft!! I cry theft. Theft of a good name! Actually, if my post count didn't go back to zero, and all my DISFriends wouldn't have a clue who I was, I'd change it in 2 seconds!! I should have been SteppeSister.

It's Schnitzel... ;) And neither Katharina nor I will share one with you I am sure!! ;) A real one has to be bigger than the plate it is served on and it is impossible to share it, it is just too good, to not eat a whole Schnitzel yourself!! :goodvibes

YOu sound like me and my dole Whip Floats!! :lmao: No sharing happening there!

Coupled with potato pancakes and red cabbage or whatever else they serve with it, it sounds like I could lose 5 pounds before I get there and it will all be for nothing!!

So in fact, it comes in on third place, not too bad... I have a really hard time picking my least favourite park and Epcot would be one that I would consider, but I think for me it is the MK. DHS used to be my favourite park, but I think AK has taken over now.

Well, actually, EPCOT World Showcase is probably my favorite, and so different than FW that I sorta consider them 2 parks. DHS is way down there too, but growing on me.

I am quite confident that I will have written about our CG dinner in our TR before your trip... :cloud9:

Goody!!!!!! I read every CG review I find over on the dining threads.

That really sounds very boring!! I now understand why this special soup served for the Naruz festivities since it also contained soured milk or something like that.

VERY boring. Now the Koreans throw in a few more things like seaweed and garlic. :lmao:

Thailand is a very popular tourist destination here in Germany and everyone I know who came back really loved it. It is somewhere on my list of countries to visit, together with Japan, South Africa, Andalusia and Scotland... We also have lots of thai restaurants and I agree with you: the food is very tasty!! :goodvibes I hope you will get back sooner rather than later!

It VERY popular for Swedes as well. In fact, in the tsunami, more Swedes were lost than all other Westerner groups. I guess they need the sun more than any of the rest of us.

Hmmm.... places I haven't visited that I'd like to: Senegal (or the West Africa region), Australia, anywhere in the Caribbean.

It's an awesome program! I went from struggling to run for 60 seconds at a time to now being able to run for 28 minutes straight! And I've lost 17 pounds. :thumbsup2

Here is the layout of the plan:

Thanks for adding that! I actually havne't seen that one, Carissa.

Happy belated birthday Becca

trying to keep up

Thanks, Sandy. I know you're having ongoing problems with that computer, so hang in there. You know we love to have you around!

Such a good idea! :thumbsup2 I have issues in that store. There's so much I want to buy! :rotfl:

Issues. :lmao: I think I'll know exactly what you mean after I get to see it. I'm a bathy sorta person, and love my paraphenalia!!

Good morning Liesa!

I have to honor of doing work on one computer and DISing on the other... sounds fun huh?

So is it true no MNSSHP for your trip? :confused3

Yes, Tim, the sad fact of the matter is that Disney duped a whole bunch of folks into believing that there would be parties on the 3rd and 8th, then did the ol' bait and switch. Now we're stuck with ADRs that are likely at the wrong time, and no where near the parks we were planning to be at. I have to upgrade my ticket again (add another day- no big deal), and go back to the drawing board.

NOW:::::::::::::::::::::

A poll for ya'll.... Since we have a bit of extra cash (why is it that DISsers always turn things like this in extra cash assuming we should just spend it?? :lmao::lmao::lmao:) what would you do with it??

Our ideas:

1) Hoop. Remember that was on our list away back when, but we actually couldn't fit it in.

2) Illuminations Cruise. Intruiguing, except, Illuminations doesn't really float my boat (haha, get it??)

3) A Behind the Seeds Tour. Only $16. Hardly the $120 I WAS going to spend.

4) Another siggie dinner. Narcoosees or... GET this?? Maybe a solo at Vick and Al's Place. (circusgirl did this and LOVED it!)

5) More souvenirs. I could do this. Really, I could!

(I haven't checked..) What did they do with the park hours? Change them or leave them with a 7pm closing time?

I really am so sad for you.

On an unrelated note... have you noticed that the smilies over there ---> have moved from their normal places again? GRRRRR it messes me all up! :headache: :rotfl2:

Here are my 2 choices!

1)What's better than unlimited sangria and a 'designated driver' to get you home! Hopefully you are staying at the Polly when you do this or you can have a ride from he!! to POP like we did in October!:scared1::scared1:

3) Don't know too much about this but it sounds kewl.. and only $16? SUH-EET! :woohoo:

Shhhh... don't tell anyone, but those were my top choices.

The tour for my solo time, The Hoop for the Troupe.

Edited to add: Trying not to dwell on the party situation. It is what it is. I just think Disney should have handled the hours posting a little better. Sometimes I have to work hard at not letting anger and disappointment get the best of me.

HMMMM that was weird??? When I quoted your post, another sentence appeared that wasn't in your post... :confused3:confused3

I know you will have a great time regardless. I but the 1st 2 parties last year were dead so they got rid of them. You never know.. they might mysteriously come back! :worship:

Yeah, they might mysteriously appear, like that crafty Ninja editing appeared in my last post. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

But now, I'm drifting off into a food coma and need to hit the sack.

I can relate to you on that one. Tonight I had fish & chips for dinner and then me and the family went out to this ice cream parlour where one serving of ice cream = 6.5 oz in a waffle cone! You get to make your own ice cream pretty much. But wow.... too much food! I feel like I gained 10 pounds in one night. Time to sleep it off :rotfl:

That sounds a bazillion times better than that poor excuse B&C served up when you were there. :confused3 Enjoy sweet dreams of ice creamicle kinds!!

Agreed. I can't believe that Disney couldn't make a decision like that AT LEAST 6 months in advance. You seem to be taking it pretty well considering.

My choice would be hoopdedoo or souvineers...

After doing an illuminations cruise, I'd recommend not doing it. It was ok, but now worth the money in my opinion. The boat parks in a spot that makes it so you can't see everything and get the full effect.

It just seems, well, a bit underhanded, and stinky to me. If they knew 8 months ago that the first parties weren't pulling in the revenue, AND they knew YEARS ago about the Night of Joy, then why couldn't they, like you say, plan accordingly and announce 9:00 closing times, thereby not (in my opinion) misleading so many people. How was that for the longest sentence ever??!!

Seriously, I would have made my ressies and plane tickets to include the 14th (the night of the first party) in my original plan. Now, I'm regretting making that decision, somewhat, of not putting off our dates until October.

I knew someone on here HAD to have done this. Thanks for giving some good feedback! The whole story line of Illuminations is just so odd to me- frankly I don't get it. The music is great, but lasers aren't my thing. And the "dead" time with the ball thingy floating out there displaying a bunch of LEDs is just b.o.r.i.n.g!

Now, the question is: Can I hope for another embarrassing Hoop de VIEW?? :lmao:

I agree about the illuminations concept...just weird...kinda like interpretive dance....the girl flopping around on the stage never makes me think about what I'm "supposed" to get from it.:rotfl:
I enjoyed it the first time but now it's just "ehhh".

ok,....I don't get the hoop de VIEW refrence....I need a refresher.

Let's review shall we? The night before (which almost always has some effect on the morning after, doesn't it? :rolleyes1) we'll have spent out at a glorious dinner (we hope) at Cali Grill. The ADR is for 7:40, which should get us home around 11:00, I'm guessing. I assume, we'll go pretty much straight to bed.

So, here we are- Day 6; Half way through our (my) stay at the World. LeeAnn's just warming up. It is odd that even as I started this Series of Itineraries things got all pooped up. I'm getting weary of this changing thang, as my time to prepare and plan is going to become increasingly sparse as we get busy packing and getting ready to move. I want this planning phase to be done, my journals finished and bound up, so that the fun little details of window decorations, gift baskets, travel aisle stalking, and accessorizing for our meals can happen. Rant over.

Onto the fun stuff...

8:00- Up, coffee, showers, etc...

9:00- RD at DHS

9:00-12:40- Tour DHS (Animation Studio, ToT, GMR, Star Tours, TSM)

1:00- ADR at Beaches and Cream

3:00ish- Head to DTD, Shop until 5:15

5:30- Cirque du Soliel

8:00- Back to Poly, Liesa gets sushi at Kona cart and a frosty something tasty from the Tambu; LeeAnn and Mary pick up something at Capt. Cooks

Head to the beach to eat and watch the EWP

Laundry? Swim? Chat?

Bed

A very short park day, as I look at it, but one that will hold a little of everything, some rest, some shop, some park, some eats, some entertainment... The best of all worlds!
