An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

It's the one I link to in my PTR. :thumbsup2

We loved the Hoop De Doo. I also think the tour would be fun.

ah, gotcha. I should take a look myself.

I went in 2008 with the kids, my sister and her 2 kids and my parents. It was a BLAST!!!! Very fun!!!

I don't know how I missed the Hoop Dee View story. That made me laugh this morning and I needed that. I would so be the one to do that.

I like the idea of doing the Hoop, or upgrading you spa day. Whatever you do go with, pamper yourself a bit! Wether it's a meal, shopping or whatever.

That's so great that I helped with your planning for you today! :laughing: You'll have to choose between the Mai Tai and the Raspberry Rain!

Hey guys!

I have a very exciting announcement that has nothing to do with DISNEY - except that we plan to CELEBRATE this in Disney!!!

Lauren ran for "Executive" Vice President - which is basically the Vice President of the Student Body - at her high school this week.

Lauren goes to a large High School of over 1,500 students in grades 10 - 12.

She ran against two of the most popular and well-known students in the High School. But neither of the students really did very many posters - I think they thought they had it in the bag. ;)

But Lauren had us (her Mom, Dad and I) making posters for her last week and when we didn't make enough of them (life is really busy), she decided to make stickers and bought a banner with her own money....

And

SHE WON!!!!!!!!!

We are so proud of her!!!

And I knew her "followers" on the DIS would want to know. :)

I vote for a special tour with your "extra" $120. Do something with the money that would be hard to do if you had the rest of your family with you.

Oh and just a planning note: Beaches and Cream does not take ADR's (you had it marked as an ADR for your Day 6 plans)

Howdy!

:mad: for no MNSSHP! But, look at it this way, it gives you an excuse to have to go back so you can attend. I was bummed when they stopped the Pirate and Princess party altogether - that was a great one too!

I am so glad I am not the only one not overly impressed with Illuminations. Maybe we should start a support group?

I would spend the extra money on a tour and/or souvenirs since that budget was limited.

Yes, you can get free velcro thingies at Innoventions. Innoventions closes before the rest of FW (I think 6pm when we were there) so be sure to go there early.

:banana::yay: Woo-hoo Lauren and Woo-hoo Liesa for being paid off!!!

Basically, it is a 9 week "program" (obviously going to take me 18 weeks :lmao: -and that's ok) that gets you in shape enough to run a 5K. The first week goes soemthing like this: Walk 5 minutes, jog 60 seconds, walk 90 seconds, repeat about 8 times. You do Week 1 3 days, then move on to W2. Then it's Warm up walk, jog 90 seconds, walk 60 secs. , etc... Gradually , you work up to 25 minute (I think.... I'm too scared to look ahead) jog. So far it's about what I thought it'd be- hard work, but very do-able. Granted I'm STILL only on week 1, as I lost some ground with the weather, and then some funky asthma I didn't know I had. But this week should be warmer again, and I'll go again.
Thanks for the info - it sounds like something I might be able to manage. I have asthma, too, and its prevented me from getting very far with running in the past. But my theory is if I work my way into it really slowly that maybe my lungs will build up more strength. I don't know if it'll work, but I want to try.

I love the way your plan for DHS / Cirque day looks. Mostly - it looks more relaxing!

Hmm, what to do with the extra $$. I really like the idea of increasing your shop around the world kitty. That, or maybe Hoop (but that's probably just because I'm excited about us seeing it for the first time this fall myself!)

Maroo, that's awesome about Lauren! How incredibly cool!:thumbsup2

So glad you found that funny just when you needed it! It was pretty funny!!! My sister walked into the men's room once, and her snarky reply was,

"Don't worry, Boys! It ain't nothing I haven't seen before!" :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I need to go back and take a look at the spa menu again. A scented bath might be rather invigorating!! :cloud9:

That's what it was--- the "Raspberry Rain"!! Mmmm, that sounds so delish!

SHE WON!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE TOOOOOOOOOO!!! give her a great big hug from me, and tell her how proud we are of her! :woohoo:

I like how you put that in quotes. :rotfl2: As if it was mine and should be automatically spent just because. :lmao:

You right. There are just some things not everyone in my clan would want to tackle. I should do one of those! I really ike the idea of the Behind the Seeds tour; although my gang loves the attraction, I'm the only real gardener in the family.

I have no idea why I put B&C down as an ADR. Of course we dont' have one. Sorry, if I confused anyone; they indeed DO NOT take ADRs! I just put down the time we'll check-in over there. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long!

Howdy!

I've heard that from so many people- that the P&P was their favorite. I guess they just must not make as much money as they'd like. :confused3

Yes, we should start a support group- we can all boycott it IN THE LA CAVA over margharitas!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Another vote for more souvie $$. Even though I'm not a big shopper, it would be nice to bump up the things I will buy in WS to just above "junk". :rolleyes1

The funny thing is, I've NEVER had asthma until I started with this. :confused3 I'm hoping it is just a little cold like thing that's sitting in there and being pesky. My attempts keep getting thwarted with icky weather. Yes! I'm a total baby about the cold or wind. I DO NOT like getting otu there when it's not just perfect- probably a good reason my body is also less than... :confused3:lmao:

Hoop is so fun! Your girls are gonna love it! (The sangria ain't bad either... not great, but not bad)

It will be possibly overly detailed, and I have 15 pages of blank pages to take notes on. I won't bore everyone with wait times for every attraction, but might indulge you on a few too many hidden mickeys. ;)

Sounds like my TRs. :sad2::sad2:

LOL :rotfl::rotfl2:

Sorry just getting caught up on all my PTR/TRs...

Behind the Seeds....if you don't end up liking it, you're only out 16 dollars.

More gifties! after reading countless TRs, there are just so many cool things you can buy your family!

Kids or 'girls'?:scratchin:scratchin

Good morning! :goodvibes

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I'm not sure that's a Hoop thing or something later... :confused3

Sounds like my TRs. :sad2::sad2:

LOL :rotfl::rotfl2:

Naw. Yours are full of good booger-eater stories and "barry" good cliff hangers!

That's the kind of math I like!! $16 isnt' a bad loss.

Gifties!?? You've got it ALL wrong, J! These aren't gifties! These things would all be for me!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think some solo time could be used pre-shopping!!!!

You're funny!! Actually, that IS the plan. How funny you should out guess me. I'm going to use my EPCOT WS time (on Day 2 -in place of MNSSHP party #1) to do my shopping tour. Before I only had 120 minutes to do it in, and I was going to sorta have a fun challenge to myself game; now I can take all fricken' day long. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Don't forget Mouse Gear.

Don't forget Mouse Gear.

Shopping before you shop? Now that is kewl!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hopefully it doesn't still stink there in September! :rotfl2:

I remember the Mouse-terdy smell that was mentioned....

Mousegears will always hold a special place in my heart- it was the first place we ever bought anything at WDW. The thing that grabbed my attention, and wallet, was the $150 we forked out for 4 sweatshirts. :scared1::scared1:

I've already mentioned that I really am not a shopper- per se. But with a challenge like I've set up for myself... the idea is really growing on me, and I think it will be a super fun thing. In fact.... I"ve already got my first game ready for the TR!!! Hmmm.... :idea:

I'm sure you've done it w/o even knowing. You see a cool sweatshirt at the beginning of your trip, but don't want to pull the trigger too soon...you decide to keep looking and come back if you don't see anything better.....Pre-shopping

Maybe it smells different during the summer

Are you using the previously mentioned buy a souvie in every country method of shopping that day?

Uh-huh! Now instead of only having 10 minutes in each country (seriously! I was going to try it- crazy, I know!) I have from after my 1:00 at Rose and Crown til midnight. Now, ain't that cool?!
