An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Camille - so glad you got good news at the doctor! That is always my fear before a big vacation - one of us getting sick or hurt.

It's funny you say this because my daughter is so very prone to accidents, she can be standing up on her in-line-skates and all of a sudden take a fall......when she wasn't even moving! :confused3 WTHeck?!? So I've literally banned her from anything that will make her either miss the trip, have to do the trip in a wheel chair or keep her from coming back and doing her dance recital. AND I'M THE ONE WHO GOT HURT!! :rotfl: Go figure!
But, thank you Jen for your sweet words and for thinking of me. I'll be all better for the trip and that I'm so greatful for. Thank you Lord. :goodvibes

For those of you that have been praying for little Mya, I am sorry to report that she passed away earlier today. Please keep her mom in your prayers. :littleangel:

Ooooh. So, so sad. I didn't really know much about this other than through Maroo. :sad2: I hate to hear that this poor baby had to go through this. Prayers going up for Mama and the family. Living in a fallen world sucks, the devil and all evil suck!

Was on FB earlier. One of my friends says- "Epcot= Every Person Comes 'Ome tired." Hit me as funny...

unfortunately not much time to post on the DIS, but on the question of non-burger CS meals at the MK: why not try the Columbia Harbour House. I love the hummus sandwich and many people rave about the tuna sandwich. :goodvibes

Well, basically, I have 3 CS meal slots to fill at MK. My TOP pick is CHH, and I'm definitely getting the tuna sandiwich. We had that last time, and it WAS Delish!

I'd like to hit up Pecos Bill too, because of the theming, but if the food stinks, I'll skip it for somewhere else.

I like the sound of Pinnochio Haus, and the menu looks ok, as well as the Noodle Station, but that, I'm pretty sure is only rarely open.

Caseys blew it big time with their new dogs, so that leaves Cosmic Rays as another option.

Great 10 Amendments! :rotfl:

We ate at Pinocchios on our first trip and I remember it being good. But, I couldn't tell you what I ate. Maybe a sandwich?

The spa does have a hot tub, sauna and steamroom. You might be surprised at how much time you end up spending in there. Everything in there is just so laid back and relaxing. After the massage I was moving in such slow motion. I didn't have it in me to rush anywhere.

They are just a silly and funny the second time around as I re-read them. We're in for some good times!

I love me a good and hot steamroom! They like them here too! I'm definitely the kind of person that likes to get my money's worth, but I can't spend more than 10 or 15 minutes in a sauna! Too bad they don't include lunch and some of those free water foot massagers too. Then I might spend a lot longer in there. Anyway, I was transferred to the spa on the phone the other day when I was making payments, but sorta chickened out and hung up before making my appt. I wish I could decide definitively!!

What's your favorite thing there? If I recall, you like the Med. salad, right?? Anything else BEISDES a burger that you've tried and is yummy??

This would be a for a Sunday afternoon lunch- just me.

Yep, I really like the Med. salad, which has chicken and mozzarella cheese in it. There are different packets of salad dressing to choose from.

There is also a pizza and salad combo. The choices of pizza are veggie, cheese, or pepperoni. That one would be good if you were really hungry!

For dessert: I usually get either the strawberry shortcake or a cannoli!

Okay..now I'm really hungry!

I thought you already had CR on your list?? :confused3

Well then that opens up quite a few options for you!! Our friends had the turkey bacon wrap there and said it was really good. It was huge too! They could of split 1! The 1/2 chicken there is really good but it might be a little big for a lunch. popcorn::

Those all sound good, but the biggst draw for me at Pins. would be getting to look over IaSW. That sounds cool!

No. It didn't make the first cut, only CHH, PBs and Caseys. BUT, and it's a big BUTT: The reviews from Caseys are getting worse and worse. I just dont know if I can justify spending $6.50 on a POC NON-all beef hot dog that I can get a package of at Stater Bros. for .$1.00. Coupled with a sawdust bun you get 3 strikes you're out Casey.

I'll definitely still make an appearance for those tasty little nugget numbers, but I think I'm gonna have to come up with plan B for another CS place. I guess it's going to be between Cosmic (which sounds fun because of Sonny Eclipse) and Pins. Maybe it will just be game time decision and we'll end up wherever we're closest.

What's their cancellation policy? It might be worth it to just book it and if you decide later to cancel (depending upon their policy of course) then you can do so.

I wish I knew. I looked for "the fine print", but couldn't find it. I may just have to call and ask some questions and find out what I'd be getting myself into more.

Will have to wait til Monday now, though. Busy weekend here~

It is neat! I love waving at all the kids who are waving in the windows when we're on the ride.

One more exciting step has been made in bringing our Week O' Freedom to full reality!! Perhaps even more so than when Mary made our ADRs, or when I bought my airline tickets, or even moreso than when LeeAnn said, "Sure, I'll go!"

I made a call to the Happy Place Call Center, and was greeted by "Ellie". It was as if all the "friendliness" of the world was placed on one sweet girl for about a half an hour! With the most genial "Hello", I was immediately whisked to a place where my troubles melted away. There was just something about the way she answered my questions and the way she patiently took care of reservation, after reservation, after reservation that reminded me once again of WHY I love to choose to go to Disney whenever I get a chance. I know all calls made there aren't pain free and easy, but this was such a breeze, I kept thinking to myself, "I wonder if this is too good to be true?!" But truly it was easy. There were no hitches; no problems; no snags.

So let's take count...

I've bought my tickets!

I've bought my airline tickets- there and back!

I've paid for ALL 3 of my resort stays in full!

I've paid for 5 (or 6, if we're careful!) days of my food!

All that is left is my OOP food, and the incidentals!! Yeah, it's still a fair amount, but little by little it's getting there. Actually, this being Disney, it's getting done a lot by a lot! Because, as Zzub used to say, "It's a battle for the wallet!" And I always tend to lose it! :lmao::lmao:
