An important note on Free Dining if you already bought park passes!

You know, I don't recall but I have to assume that we bought one day passes to get the dining. My wife did the original booking (yes, I am a "he" not a "she"). I just remember her saying it was still worth it to pay for dining. If 1 day pass is required even paying then she must have bought them as part of the package but I don't really remember that.


As for all the other posts suggesting it was pixie dust all I can say is this. It was either normal policy or ignorance on the part of 2 CMs at the same time with 2 different groups of people. It wasn't pixie dust. I know pixie dust when I see it.

I don't know if there is a way to find out on the phone, or maybe a way to call guest services at the park rather than just the call center but you may be able to find out by calling. After all our friend said she was told over the phone that she could get the gift cards. I didn't believe her. I still didn't believe her when we got the park. I finally gave in when they gave me the gift card. Really couldn't argue with her then.

my bf and her family was there 2 weeks ago and did the SAME thing you did..so no I dont think it was pixie dust..the replys are a case of someone just wanting to prove they know more then you..I hate that everytime someone gets something that someone else did not get or think to get people get told they must be wrong..like they were on vacation with you.How many times have people said on here that CMs dont know everything?everytime someone asks about a mug or having friends visit their resort ect ect and people say some CMs just dont know all the rules? well just because someone is in ticketing does not mean they are the last word on it..this is the kind of thing that runs new people off to other forums to trash talk this one :sad2:..SORRY VENT OVER

It's really great that your friend had the identical result that the OP did. That's more evidence that it's standard operating procedure if someone knows to request it. It was genuinely kind of you to provide that information here.

It's NOT that people think the OP was wrong simply because nobody - prior to him & his friend, and then your friend - never had that experience; it's that nobody had ever heard of it happening before, so obviously nobody experienced it. Nobody's claiming to have been on vacation with the OP, or even near him in line.

Now we have a better idea. The information that your friend had the same experience could have been presented with a bit less harshness. Nobody ever doubted the OP had the experience he had. It was merely advised repeatedly that SUBSEQUENT visitors shouldn't necessarily expect the same results. With input from two unrelated parties, maybe now they can.
 
Closing this now, jabs at other posters and jabs at CMs who take the time to post on the board isn't productive or within the DISboard guidelines.
