Don't you wish that as DVC members one of our perks could be the availablility to make dining reservations at say 80+10? Just to give us a little advantage?:thumbsup2 I know it would be hard logistically based on park hours not being released yet but maybe they could offer us basic times that they know parks are open and not release the very early or late reservations that come with the park hours being listed? :cloud9: Just a dream I know but wow! that would be so awesome.....ok.....back to reality.....

I just wish they would find a way to stop people from making multiple reservations.

You've seen them here on the DIS they can't decide where they want to eat :confused3 so they have three different dinner reservations and maybe they will cancel the two extra if they think about it.........

I would not mind at all 1 if they required a credit card guarantee on each reservation and 2 charged a small fee to the card as soon as the reservation was made - maybe $10 - $20 per person depending on the restaurant.

I think you are going in the wrong direction. 80 + 10 would be later than 90 + 10. For it to be a benefit to DVC members, you would need a date over 90 days, say 95 + 10. It would be nice but I doubt they would do it. With the large numbers of DVC members now, it would be difficult for people staying at WDW resorts to get the top reservations and I think there would be an outrage.

We were talking to some cast members at various eating establishments in December and the reason Disney has gone back to 90 day dining ressies is because too many people make multiple ressies then back out and don't cancel or show up. I don't think it's right to penalize all of us, but I have no problem leaving a credit card number to secure my ressie. I'm concerned because we want LeCellier, which is always difficult and we'd like to try the dinner show at the Poly. I plan to call at 7am on my 90 day, but I don't know what our chances will be. We've never had a problem at 180days so we'll see!

I'm glad they switched it to 90 days. It's difficult to plan where you want to eat 6 months ahead expecially with park hours constantly changing. Since they can no longer commit to posting hours 6 months ahead (and sticking to them), they had no choice.
