My youngest DD, now 11, is a bit of an artist. She travels everywhere with pencils, coloured pencils and a notebook.

It just occured to me that a zippered 3-ring binder would make an excellent art-studio-to-go! It doesn't have to be a new one - a binder recycled from an older sibling will do the job just as well.

Items to include:
Copy paper
Zippered pencil case
Coloured pencils
Regular pencils
Eraser
Stickers
etc

Not only will all the art stuff be in one place, you also won't have the "I can't use that crushed paper". Best of all, the binder itself can be used as a lap desk for long airport waits etc.

You could also include a plastic page with pockets for organizing CD's - it'll be an easy way to transport movies as well
I wish I had thought of this YEARS ago! It would have made my life/ our trips so much easier!
