One of my biggest rants about HHN every year is the rampant and uncontrolled smoking despite the supposed rules printed in the map. I've finally learned how to totally avoid secondhand smoke...just go into one of the designated smoking areas!

I kid you not...twice now, when we've wanted to sit down somewhere to eat and not have smokers right next to us, we've sat down in a smoking area and have had 0 smokers anywhere near us. Last night, we got a drink and were going to sit at a regular table but there were smokers at several adjacent tables. We went to the smoking area and enjoyed a leisurely smoke free drink. The ashtray on our table was pristine and empty, as were those at all the surrounding tables. Go figure. :sad2:

Yeah, I hear you. We were there the 16th and the smoke was so bad everywhere we left early. I almost got burned a couple of times by people waving their cigarrette around. We were trapped in line for almost an hour and smoke was everywhere. I never saw an emplyee tell them to put it out or redirect them elsewhere.Felt like I wasted the money for the ticket.

I was actually shocked all to heck on the 16th because for the first time ever I saw an employee make someone put a cigarette out!!!!! I've watched security and countless other people walk right by the smokers all this season, but at Dead Exposure an employee noticed smokers and stood there until they put 'em out. As he passed me, I thanked him to make sure he knew it was appreciated. I'd wager a lot of money I don't see that happen for the rest of the season tho'.

I went last night also.. went on 4 houses - interstellar terror, doomsday, reflections of fear, dead exposure and MIB ride in 2 hrs. from 6:45 or so to 8:45..then left. I guess lines were longer later on. walked in - went on doomsday first- no wait then reflections of fear- 10 min. then dead exposure- 20 min. then MIB ride- no wait..just time it took to put bag in locker, wait in preshow area..then trying to decide what to do next.. finally interstellar terror..15 min.

also, i did notice smoking sometimes but luckily not in lines.. just walking around the park where I could easily just walk by them.
