It's nice, but it's not all that different from the millions of nighttime photos of the castle. It would be much more compelling if the subject of the picture was a street that is usually team with people and is now totally empty.
I'm kind of surprised that the crane wasn't up and getting some painting done. Aren't they doing that at night? Way on the leftmost spire, you can see some of the new, darker paint.
(Unless it was and it was behind the castle, in which case, "never mind!")
Nice photo - kinda weird seeing it without all the golden trimmings! I, too, am wondering what on earth you were doing there at that hour of the morning? Do tell - and make it really exciting!!!
I wish I would have taken one a bit further away before it got a bit busier but I ran down and snapped a photo and then went inside till a bit later. Here is a photo from about 5am.
I actually was there starting at 3am to greet the Spangler family last week. It was so weird being in an empty MK, music going, lights on and no one at all for quite awhile. It was a once in a lifetime experience I'll never forget.
Neat pictures, 2angelsinheaven. And I would have paid to be a fly on the wall during that whole experience, a memory for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing.
Yes I worked that morning. It was my first time working the MK, normally I'm at the DCL Terminal so this was a treat. Plus I loved my comfy Aladdin costume I got to wear. The Spanglers are the family who won the Keys To The Magic Kingdom sweepstakes, they had the park for a few hours, it was shown on GMA last week.
