An APRIL Adventure in Autism: 2008 (8/8) Time to Say Good-Bye....

Fun update! Love the pics of Billy during Ed and Tricia's game. Next time you ride Soarin', ask the CM if you can ride in the front row. They are usually accomodating, but you may have to wait a turn or two. Definitely worth the wait, though, as you aren't watching other people's feet! :thumbsup2

You know, I've read about people requesting this... don't know why it should be any different than waiting for a booth instead of a table at the local diner...

But I guess that I've never done this because I feel that we're already being so well-accommodated by using the GAC/FP queue because of Billy's disability. The whole point of using it is to reduce the waiting for him. I don't want to add to our wait time by making special requests. :upsidedow

But I think that if you don't have these special "issues" its a wonderful idea! Thanks!

Mouse Gear!!!!!!!

How do you rate MG in terms of Mega WDW stores?

It's my favorite in all of WDW...I can't even say why, but I could spend hours, okay maybe an hour, in that store looking at the same stuff over and over.......It's heaven to me.

Love the update Kathy!

Soarin' gets me every time as well. It just makes me feel good! :goodvibes

So cool that Tricia got some "Dad-time" at Project Tomorrow. They look like they were really getting into their game! Love the pic of Billy laughing..I can almost hear it!

Ahhh...Mousegear. What can I say? It's heaven on earth for the Disney obsessed!

Hmm..right or left?? And where to eat?? :confused3

Phew! I think I'm all caught up on both reports now. Just returned last night from WDW and I'm hoping that by DISing I'll ward off the post-trip blues.

We loved our stay at Kidani - absolutely loved it! If you have a ?? send me a PM.

Hey Kathy...I just had to hijack for a minute. I posted a while back that DH had NO desire to go see "Up." Well, today, we were trying to figure out what to do for Father's Day, and he said, "Well, let's just go see Up and get it over with." After the movie, I asked him what he thought..."Wow! It was REALLY good...I've never been to a movie that made me cry 4 times." He, and the rest of us, loved it!!! What a funny, poignant, meaningful story! Can't wait till it comes out on DVD!

OK, now back to your regularly scheduled program... (thanks! ;) )

Great updates, I am all caught up!

So sweet, Billy and the butterfly.

Tricia and her friend made me smile.

Your restraint at Mouse Gear? Impressive!

I can't imagine how hard it must be at times watching Billy, and then other children. I see a bit, with a nephew and a friend but it isn't the same and I know it. Billy is blessed to have you, and Ed and Tricia.

Glad to see you back...

Believe me, we are all blessed!

I'm finally caught up after being away from the internet for a couple of weeks. It looks like y'all had a lot of fun meeting Tricia's friend at Epcot and playing the games. I didn't know about the power grid hockey thing at Spaceship Earth. It looked like a lot of fun. I also didn't know about the email stuff at the Imagination Pavilion (I've never been there, so I may have called it the wrong name). One of my favorite things to do is email goofy pictures from Epcot to my friends, so I will try to remember that.

I can't wait to read more about your trip!

ETA: I just read that article you posted about the little who wanted to see Up. I'm glad she got got her wish.

I am caught up again! :goodvibes

Tell Tricia not to be too sad about the middle row...I actually think it offers the best view!

I rode Soarin' 5 times on my last trip...4 in one morning. I was doing a little "research" to see if Lauren could ride...trying different levels and different concourses...

And the top row was sort of on top of the screen, so I had a harder time seeing the details that I observed on the lower levels. It felt funny looking down at everything. :confused3

Whoops....how did I miss this update, guess I was still all caught up in the pirate: lass buzz ;)

My Mom get's a kick out of Patrick too...not for boyfriend reasons though like AR...but that she has the speech practically memorized just like she has many of her fav movies....I don't think I mentioned this in my TR...but she rode twice (2 x in a row) and the 2nd ride with me...well I guess Mom's can still embaress their 30 something daughters....:rolleyes1

I just love the picture of Billy laughing at Ed and Tricia playing that game.

:rotfl:

I hope to check out that area next yr.

My guess for World Showcase is you went......

LEFT????

thinking end of afternoon, most people should be coming out on the right near Canda....:scratchin

There are always new things to see and do... it would take a very long time to experience all that WDW has to offer! :goodvibes

Glad you're back!

 She probably is getting back at you for when you were thirteen!

That's great!! So happy for her! :goodvibes

Billy's class had a field trip today to a small local amusement park. His teacher wrote that he went on every ride and was asking friends to sit with him on different rides, which they did.

I was so pleased!

It's just the little social things that most people take for granted... yet they are such big steps for autistic children!! :cheer2:

Kathy

Good for Billy! Y'know, I'd just love to hear him laugh the way you describe it. :lmao:
