An Anniversary Trip Full of Favorites-May 2012 PTR!*TR Link 5/14 & Question 5/15 p32*

OMG BEACH CLUB YAY!!!!!! That's so exciting! Beach Club is my NUMBER ONE dream resort ahh. Don't you love how on the Disney website it says "Soon you'll be here..." it's like hello, thank you Disney for that comforting thought! Anyways YAY! Yall are gonna have such a great time!

Beach Club sounds perfect! I love those pictures and being able to walk to Epcot and DHS will be amazing.

Wow, can't believe how many pages you have already! :lmao: Joining in!

Yay, so glad you're here! :woohoo: The Beach Club is so great, isn't it! I hope you get to book it for November! Are you going for Food and Wine?

Wow, your trip is in 2 days? :dance3: The Boardwalk is so beautiful, I really want to stay there someday! I hope you will be doing a TR for your March trip, because I really want to read about it! :cool1:

Yes Beach Club is awesome! We are actually going down in November for Thanksgiving (see my PTR link in my siggy below) so we are going to be staying two nights on-site, then we'll have 3 nights on a cruise, then return the Wed before Thanksgiving and stay until Saturday in a treehouse villa! Those first two nights though are the ones we may change...either to one of the EPCOT resorts or one of the MK Resorts. Not sure yet and it will depend on points and what is available at 7 months. :)

Oh there will definitely be a TR and probably a dining report as well for our March trip. So much new stuff to talk about with the tours and other stuff. I'll be live tweeting from there as much as possible too...that link is my siggy as well. There will be photos there too! :)

I will be living vicariously through you for your May Trip!
DH and my 3rd wedding anniversary is May 9th, but sadly no trip this year (unless he surprises me) We're looking to buy a house and it just doesn't fit in to take a trip right now... Maybe this fall I will finagle a trip- maybe even a solo one ;)

Wow, this post went fast, I thought I was on the first page.....whoops!

Can't wait to read all about it.... so exciting and May is such lovely weather!

oh poo! I'm late, as usual! It's really late so I'm going to bed but I'll catch up tomorrow! :goodvibes

Beach Club sounds like a great choice, especially since it's where you stayed on your Disneymoon and it's a trip of favorites! Not to mention all the great things within walking distance!

I'm so late to the party! But I'm here and all caught up. I think staying at the Beach Club is a PERFECT idea and I hope you do not change your mind. :goodvibes

yeah for the Beach Club! so jealous!! :thumbsup2

That's cool that your surprising Brandon...I never think to do that to my husband...mabe for our next trip....:rolleyes1

Can't wait to hear about all your plans!

I can't wait to be back at the Beach Club!!! :lovestruc

I hope he's surprised...although...I'm running into kind of a problem with it, which I think my next update will have to be about...a planning problem!

The Beach Club was my #1 dream resort too before we stayed there on our Disneymoon...when I booked that trip, I think it was the only time I didn't change resorts, I just knew I had to stay there. Now my dream resort is the Poly, but that's just because I haven't stayed there yet...I LOVE the Beach Club! I feel like I'm never going to want to leave!

I love that the Disney website gives you a countdown when you log in now! I'm down to 62 days! :cool1:

I love the Beach Club, it's going to be so awesome walking to DHS and Epcot! :lovestruc I have to make sure we walk over to DHS at least once, because we always drove there when we stayed at BC on our Disneymoon, and it kind of makes no sense, it's right across the street!

Wow, can't believe how many pages you have already! :lmao: Joining in!

Haha, I can't either! I'm so glad you're here!

Wow your Thanksgiving trip sounds amazing! I really want to do a cruise-parks trip at some point in my life! :lovestruc AHH the treehouse villas, those look so amazing! I know I subbed to your PTR but somehow I kept missing it!

I can't wait til your TR and dining report! Haha, I'd follow you on Twitter, if I was on there, but I don't tweet! I'm just not interesting enough to tweet! :rotfl: Hope you're having a great time!

Haha, I do the same with people going to WDW when I really want to go! (Which I suppose is all year! :rotfl:)

Awww, I wish your DH would surprise you! Maybe you can go in the Fall, that would be even better than May because of F&W! It's seriously the best time to go, it might be replacing Christmas for me!

Wow, this post went fast, I thought I was on the first page.....whoops!

Can't wait to read all about it.... so exciting and May is such lovely weather!

Haha, I know, I can't believe it! I can't wait to be back there in May, we always go between September and December, so it will be nice to be there in the Spring! I don't even care how hot it is, as long as it doesn't rain! :yay:

oh poo! I'm late, as usual! It's really late so I'm going to bed but I'll catch up tomorrow! :goodvibes

Yay, you're here! :goodvibes Don't worry, you're not late, it's just getting started!

Beach Club sounds like a great choice, especially since it's where you stayed on your Disneymoon and it's a trip of favorites! Not to mention all the great things within walking distance!

I'm so happy we'll be back at the Beach Club! I want to try new resorts, but my favorites just keep calling me back! I can't wait to walk to Epcot!!!

I'm so late to the party! But I'm here and all caught up. I think staying at the Beach Club is a PERFECT idea and I hope you do not change your mind. :goodvibes

You're not late, I'm glad you're here! I can't wait to stay at the BC! It's official, I'm definitely not switching resorts at this point, I'm way to happy to be staying at the Beach Club! :cool1:

Beach Club, nice!

I've been there only to dine at Cape May. What I've seen of the resort is really pretty! My BFF stayed there on her and her DH's honeymoon... they're planning a trip for October with their DDs and she really wants to go back to BC to stay.

I'm hoping for some room discounts or free dining promo to be released for mid-October to early-November. If I can save us some money, that'll make it easier to "convince" DH to go on an anniversary trip! Fingers crossed!

Yay for Beach Club! It's funny because when I first saw the pic of AKL, I was like OMG SHE IS SO NOT GOING TO KEEP THAT ONE! LOL I KNEW you'd end up at an Epcot resort I just wasn't sure if you'd go back to BC or if you'd try the YC since you liked it when you visited at Christmas!

Can't wait to hear more of your plans! :goodvibes

It is SO pretty, I love the Beach Club so much! It would be amazing to stay there in October, for the F&W festival!

I'm hoping for free dining for late October too, it would save us much more than a room discount, since IF we go in late October, we'll definitely be staying in a mod this time! :thumbsup2

Haha! I actually really wanted to stay at AKL, but I just can't do it on such a short trip! :confused3 I'll stay there someday! Maybe if we end up going in the fall, I'll suck it up and rent points! Although if I was going to do that, I'd probably stay in BCV or BWV! :rotfl:

And now we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents-
your dinner!

(OK, so I know I said I was going to do Disney love quotes, but this is all about ADR's...kind of more appropriate starting with a quote about eating! :rotfl:)

The ADR's!

I love doing updates that talk about ADR's, one of the best parts of planning a Disney trip is figuring out where to eat! :woohoo:

This trip was actually kind of difficult...I have already moved things around and canceled and added so many ADR's I can't keep track...we only have 5 days to work with and I don't want the majority of our time to be eating or getting ready to eat or going to the parks or resorts just to eat. So I tried to keep it simple, and I went with our favorites. (Ok, there is one new, awesome restaurant added in to try, just because. Just for fun!)

Day 1 we will be having dinner at:

DSC00508.jpg

Cape May Cafe! Originally for this day, I had 'Ohana booked. 'Ohana. And I canceled it because I asked Brandon if he wanted to eat there and he said NO! Can you believe it??? Jerk.

Just kidding! :rotfl2: I know he's not a big fan of 'Ohana, but I am! I begrudgingly canceled because it didn't make sense to go over to the MK area that night...AND because I basically told him we were eating there in the Fall, no matter what!

Luckily, we got a great time for dinner at Cape May Cafe, one of our favorites! It will be nice to just go downstairs to dinner and then walk over to Epcot when we're finished eating! Ahh, I love staying at the Beach Club!

Our second night, we will be having dinner at:

Dining_CaliforniaGrill_01.jpg

California Grill! I can't wait to go here, I've wanted to try this place forever and we never have a chance, so it's happening on this trip! What better time than on an anniversary trip, right? If anyone has any recommendations on what to order here, please feel free to tell me, I keep looking at the menu and everything sounds SO good!

Day 3 we will be having dinner at:

Streets_of_America_53.jpg

Mama Melrose's! We love this place, and it will be nice to go to dinner and then go back out into DHS for magic hours! :woohoo:

Finally, Day 4, we will have lunch at:

DSC08517.jpg

Where else, Le Cellier! This is Brandon's favorite restaurant in all of Disney. I suppose I'd have to say mine too. It's just SO good. The cheddar cheese soup. The filet. The chocolate moose...I just love everything about it! I can't wait to go back, it seemed strange not going there on our December trip!

That's it, just 4 ADR's for this trip! I'm thinking of maybe adding a breakfast in, either at Captain's Grille or Cape May, but I might just leave things the way they are. Is the breakfast good at Cape May? I'd like to go to Boma, but that's so out of the way, it might have to just wait til the Fall. If I do add a breakfast, it will have to be close by.

Or I'll just go with another favorite, Crystal Palace! I'd love to get some new pictures on an empty Main Street!

I love Mama Melrose and Cape May. We've not done California Grill -- I read good and bad about it. I know you and Brandon love LeCellier; we were very disappointed with our last meal there in September and probably won't go back for several years (but I'd love to get the soup to go).

We're only doing one dinner in September (we have three breakfasts and two lunches...everything else will be counter servie around WS, etc.).

Oooohhhhh! ALL nice choices!!! i've never eaten at any of them but i've heard wonderful things about them all and of course being a Canadian I know you can't go wrong with Le Cellier and an awesome steak ;):thumbsup2 lol.

I definitely love your choices. If dd wasn't coming with us i would have chosen some "fancier" restaraunts. For now we are doing 50's, T-Rex, but throwing in Sanaa for something a bit more fancy but with a view of the animals for dd's delight. Oh and a breakfast at Kona on our run day b/c I've heard so much about their wonderful breakfast foods!!

All your ADRs sound good. California Grill is delish! Pork Tenderloin was the best thing I've ever put in my mouth at DisneyWorld! :)

Okay, to go along with your lovely quote I just have to say... wouldn't it just be amazing if the Be Our Guest restaurant could open like, tomorrow? AHHH.

So those ADRs sound good, as far as I know... which is not that much, because I've never been to ANY of those places! What the heck? Hahaha but yay anyway!

I agree, the fabulous food and places to eat are part of the fun of Disney!

The only one of your ADRs I've been to is Cape May. I really enjoyed it... and that's coming from someone who doesn't care for seafood, LOL!

It's still not 100% decided if we'll do a Disney trip, but I'm already thinking about where Shane and I would eat! We'd most likely also have 4 ADRs to work with. Lunch at Le Cellier is in consideration, as is CG. Since this would be just the two of us, I'm thinking we should go to the more "adult" restaurants.

Though breakfast at Crystal Palace is one of my favorites. There's nothing weird about 2 grown adults having breakfast with Pooh & Friends, right? ;)

Out of all of those, I've only ever eaten at one, Le Cellier! Haha, next Disney trip I have to broaden my restaurant horizons.
I love planning Disney meals too :)
