I actually enjoyed it. It was based on a supposed true story. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but even though I wasn't all that thrilled with the direction the ending went in, I was on the edge of my seat through the entire movie. It really got me wanting to read the book/books on the haunting.

Also, I can't remember if you were part of an earlier post about it: but I had posted that Reese Witherspoon is also working on a version of that story. I believe it comes out next year and is called something like "Our Family Trouble" or something close and is based on one of the many books on the story. The article I read said she had grown up in the area.

I have lived in Nashville my whole life and the Bell Witch has always been a big spooky thing here. As kids we would go to slumber parties and scare ourselves silly talking about the Bell Witch. I want to see the movie just because I grew up knowing the story.

I love stories about the Bell Witch, my entire family is from Tenn., and my family married into the Bell family.

I saw it at the first showing on Friday, dang did I jump alot. I did not like the ending, but for me that's not how I feel it went. But there are so many theories, etc out there. Also, I was disappointed in the lack of the "ghost family", but I can't remember if "they" are mentioned in the book, this film was made from. But I know they can not touch every area, or the movie would never end.

I have interesting video tape and pics from the cave, from visits in the last 5 years. Also, my son did the cover of a book used by a present day author and historian on the subject and I had my story printed in his books twice.

Let's say after one of my visits to the cave, I stayed unnerved during the entire visit at my Mom's house in middle Tenn. (which is also suppose to be built near a Indian burial ground)......
