Thanks everybody!

Well I was a bit of a naughty girl last night. I had: two pieces of pepperoni pizza, 4 Coors Light Beers, and about 1/3 of a bag (as in full bag, not single serving) of Nacho Cheese Doritos. Lunch was a chicken breast, breakfast was some sunflower seeds, some grapes and two bites of a brownie. Not a great day. I don't know what is with me and the chips and beer. I think the spirit of a football loving man has taken up residence in my body. Chips and Beer, Beer and Chips every darn weekend lately. Oh well. No chips left since Dan and I polished them off last night. And I didn't exercise either. I am hoping to get an hour in today. Today's food has been better:
Breakfast: cheerios with skim milk
Lunch: Spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy's (no fries, no mayo) and diet coke. I have 80 oz. of water thus far. I need more since my sodium intake was so high last night. We are grilling chicken Italian sausage tonight. I love this stuff, I get it at my Super Target. Its got 70 calories per 2 oz and is made with chicken breast, some green pepper and a few spices. No nitrates, no msg, none of that stuff. 4 Grams of fat per 2 oz. Its made by Archer Farms, I highly recommend it! I am also having a nice big salad. And no beer or chips!

Julie, I have a spot cleared on the frig for the magnet, hope I get it this Wednesday!
Amy: I am really trying to get those veggies in. I have eaten more veggies in the last five months than I have in the past five years, I kid you not!
Anna: Thanks, I guess even 20 measley minutes towards my June goal does count!
 
Way to let go of that bad day and get right back on track! I've had chicken-n-spinach brats from Costco and they are so yummy! Sounds similar to what you are making. I have had 2 bad days and today DD7 (wow, the first time I've typed that!) wants pizza for her b-day dinner. Will it ever end?!?!?!?

Did you get your workout in? Gotta get that magnet this week! :banana:
 
Thanks Amy! Yes I did walk today. I did 50 minutes around the running track at the nearby highschool and another 30 minute "beagle walk". So 80 minutes total. That magnet had better be on my frig by this time on Wednesday! Here was dinner:
1 chicken sausage
1 turkey burger with one slice 2% cheese (no bun)
2 cups salad greens with 2 TB light Italian dressing
1 small tangerine
1/2 cup lowfat mint choc. chip ice cream on one cone. I like the cone, it only has 50 calories and 11 grams of carbs and I eat less ice cream when I put it on a cone. If i put ice cream in a bowl I eat about 4 times as much as I do when its on a cone. Hopefully having this ice cream in the house won't be a problem. If it gets to be, I am throwing it out!

Drank 100 oz. of water, one diet coke and 12 oz. of club soda with lime.
Much better day today thank goodness!
 

WTG getting right back on track today after the your alter ego " football guy" took over last night!

Interesting idea about using a cone for the ice cream. I'll have to try that.

Now keep "football guy" away - it is Magnet week!

Great job with the portion control on the ice cream! I was BAD BAD BAD with ice cream yesterday...

Hi Amy,

Way to go on resisting the Cool whip!!! How do you do it? I can't have cool whip in the house...I love that stuff!!!! In fact, when we have potlucks, I sometimes will make a dessert that requires a 16 oz tub of cool whip. I can never not lick the container once it is gone. I could sit forever and do that. Only I can't make the cool whip last that long :)

Congrats on the loss as well. That is great! I know you will have the magnet this week!!! And you can stick it on the fridge and that will be your reminder that you are doing a great job and that you will make your goal!!!

Thank you everyone! Let me tell you Jamie, Cool Whip and me go way back! I remember once my mom had some in the frig for a dessert she was making and I kept sampling it. Naturally when she opened it up for company that night it was half gone and had finger/scoop marks from me! Sadly it was the first of many Cool Whip catastrophes in my life!

Yes, it is magnet week! Had an okay day today until my husband came home and announced that the deal he has been working on that was about to become a reality and pay us a nice sum of money is dead. This is a good, good lesson about not counting chickens before they are hatched. We have three Disney trips planned for the rest of the year and may have to cancel the one in December. So I had a Coors Light with him on the deck which was bad. Then we decided to go out for Mexican food to drown our sorrows in greasy, cheesey, comfort food. But, hold the phone, I suddenly said no way, I gotta get my magnet. So we stayed in and ate the chicken and pasta I had already cooked anyway. So one beer, no mexican food. Day was not great, didn't get one veggie in but I did drink over 80 oz. of water and did a 30 minute walk tonight. DH was great, he really supported me even though I know he wanted to go out and wind down a bit. Between this never ending crap with his job and the stress of my mom and her Alzheimers I can so feel myself tottering on the edge with my food. But I haven't fallen off the wagon yet. And if I weigh in on Wednesday and don't get that magnet I may have to slap the WW weigh in lady or myself! Thanks for all the support, it really helps!
 
Hi Amy, sorry to hear about DH's deal. I definitely understand the beer - had one myslef tonight. :rotfl2: Way to go not going out for Mexican though. Very strong of you! :cheer2:

GREAT JOB resisiting the urge to eat out! :cheer2: I bet in your upset state of mind you would have really went overboard and regretted it later. That is a bummer about DH's bonus $$, but there are worse things in life. At least you still get to go on 2 Disney trips!

I'm sorry to hear about DH's deal. :( I know all too well how that goes. (My DH had two deals go bad in the past week and we have been waiting for them to close. :( ) I will be praying that another door of opportunity will open up for him. :goodvibes

Yep, I got my magnet. So the WW weight in lady was saved from being slapped upside the head by a frustrated Weight Watcher! 26.8 pounds total, so I lost two pounds this week. Thank goodness I didnt' do the Mexican food the other night or I wouldn't have gotten it in all liklihood! Its on my frig reminding me to stay focused. Thanks for all your good thoughts and support everyone, I couldn't have gotten this far without all of you!

I didn't post yesterday, tried two different times and lost my postings both times due to server being busy. Oh that is so annoying! Then I got busy in the late afternoon and evening but here I am today! Did really well with my food yesterday and the day before, can't remember everything I ate. But I did get some veggies in. Last night I split an order of Nachos from Del Taco with my hubby, had them hold the beans, guac and sour cream and put some shredded green leaf lettuce on mine to "veggie" them up a bit. I also had a half of a beer, this was kind of my celebration dinner. And I have been craving Mexican food so this got it out of my system without going all overboard. I used to eat a whole order of these "macho nacho's" plus a burrito and a big Dr. Pepper. What a long way I have come, no way could I eat all that now or I'd probably be sick. Still, I know I could get right back where I was with just a teeney bit of effort. I am one fourth of the way there, I can't give up now or that would be so sad! Thanks again for all of your support, it keeps me going!

Yesterday was okay until I skipped my workout and ate Doritos for dinner. The stress of dh's job scenario just wiped me out. I did clean all day and got a lot done around the house and then just sort of crashed. So today, I got up an hour early to do a 50 minute walk so that I can't find a bunch of reasons later in the day to skip working out! I had a protein shake for breakfast and am planning on having a salad from Wendy's for lunch with my mom. I feel better about life today, but this up and down thing with Dan's job and my mom makes my whole life just seem up and down. Just gotta take it as it comes right? Thanks for the support everybody, I will get to everyone else's journals tonight when I have some time.

P.S. Amy or Tracy, can you tell me how to get the June Exercise Challenge clippart in my sig? I am so clueless on this stuff!
