Amy's Designs

My oldest two are the exact same ages (DD 12 & DS 8). With kids that age you can get alot done. We had to baby swap with my youngest (DS 1) and we still got alot done. You will not have to put up with strollers holding you up and kids that age move at a faster pace. All of mine really enjoyed the Sci FI drive in. Good burger place and they gave them fake drivers licenses. they loved the movie screen. They like the food at Wolfgang Puck's Express the best (liked it so much we went back a second time) I know it will be closed sometime this year though. As much as time as you take with your designs to help all of us I hope this helps you some.:goodvibes Also ate at Chef Mickey's, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Coral Reef, Concourse Steakhouse, The Crystal Palace, Boma if you want any info on these let me know. Have fun!

oh also we decided to stay 8 days this year (stayed 7 last year) and decided to stay at the Pop this year too (stayed at Sports last year) :rotfl2: Small world!

Thanks for your feedback! Choosing Restaurants ahead of time to make priority seating is so overwhelming for me.

Your feedback of what the kids enjoyed is exactly what I need. I already wrote down the two you said they loved, of the others - were they good, OK, not the best?

I am also trying to look into the dining plan. I am thinking we will want to do quite a few 'special' sit down meals (whether character or theme) but I can't decide if the plan will be worth it or not. Did you use it?

Amy
I have another question about the transfer paper? Sorry! Did I understand that if you use dark transfer paper, you don't have to flip your designs and if you use light transfer paper, you do have to flip your designs?
TIA

Most dark transfers you do NOT flip and most light you NEED to flip. But this is not a rule, you need to read your directions carefully.

We went in Sept and got free dining but I am one who would prob purchase it even if we hadn't gotten it free. I just don't want to worry about having enough money for food and snacks. This way we didn't have to worry. No big deal to set your own ressies they help you alot over the phone. May want to check into a travel agent if you are worried about it but I did it myself last year and had no problems just write down your ressies #'s in case you have any problems or want to make changes. I enjoyed everywhere we ate but the kids were not thrilled with Boma (just ok to them), liked Crystal Palace (food is ok but the character interaction was the best of the entire trip), Chef Mickey (food was good; breakfast, all enjoyed), Coral Reef (prob enjoyed the least but the tank is neat). MY kids are picky eaters and prefer hamburgers and fries. The only thing we will do differently is set as few buffets as possible. We had walked through the parks all day and really wanted to stay "sitting" for dinner. We are going to try a few of the family syle meals this time. still get some variety but get to sit. The kids did try some new foods being on the DDP.which was nice. for a snack make sure to buy some popcorn, the kids really liked it but the ducks like it more! :rotfl: They got a kick out of them almost following you to get your popcorn. We made alot of new "friends" those days. Hope I'm not writing too much but you got me on my new favorite subject... planning our vacation to Disney! :lmao:

Thank you SO MUCH!!! These are so awesome, :worship:

Can't wait till my daughters see them on the shirts, hehe.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! :)

Michelle,
Here are your requested designs... I thought by purple background you meant the square then thought you probably meant the background in the Mickey head. I'll post both...

No, you are not writing too much! I am learning so much from all of you - thanks! I am not worried about making the reservations, I am worried about choosing the 'best' places to eat. Half the fun of Disney is the food and the fun that goes along with it. I am looking for places with a fun atmosphere and neat theme. We like the character meals but also just some regular places to balance it out.

One question though - does WDW have any restaurants inside rides? Like at Disneyland, they have Blue Bayou which is inside the Pirates ride and the kids love that!

Amy - At Epcot you can eat in the Mexico pavillion in the World Showcase. The ride in that pavillion, Rio del Tiempo, is a boat ride that runs right beside the restaurant, San Angell Inn. The food was not great (partly my fault because I was expecting US Mex food, if you know what I mean) but DH loved his - some sort of fish dish. Anyway, it's beautiful in there, request a seat by the water.

Also, Coral Reef is in Epcot in Future World, in the Seas Pavillion. Ate there once, it was so-so, but we're trying it again in May with the in-laws because the ambiance is awesome. One wall is a huge aquarium (from the seas pavillion) and it's really beautiful and keeps kids entertained for hours - lol!

My other fave (sadly we're not doing it this time) is Marrakesh in Morocco, againin Epcot (can you see the theme for us???). Where else can you eat Moroccan food??? The belly dancers move through the room, and for me the food was great!

Check out the dining thread here - they have great ideas!

Hi Amy
Was wondering if you could personalize design WDW12 by changing 2007 to 2008 and if possible could you do 2008 where the 00 looks like a mickey head?
TIA

Can you do this one using the name: Gabe? Thanks this is great!

Amy
When you get a chance, could you do me a design with the word Disney with all the characters in it like your name and put the 2 mickey heads on the sides, then underneath the work Disney, can you put 2008 with the 00 that looks like the mickey head...write 2008 in blue to match the mickey heads. Am I making any sense?

Amy, I'd like to change something on this design, sorry:( On your website, I'd like one done like design N13 and one like N15...they are basically the same thing except one is blue and one is pink...use the same wording that I originally said Disney with 2008 underneath like in your designs...and I want to make sure Pooh and his characters are included in all of the characters. I noticed on your site that some of the names include Pooh and friends and some do not!!! Thanks and I am soooo sorry!! :)
