"Amuck, amuck, amuck!" A Pre-TR (link to TR in the first post)

So my favorite Halloween movie is "The Halloween Tree" based on my favorite Halloween book by Ray Bradbury!

Thanks! I'm definitely going to try and TiVo/rent/or buy this one!

The above story told by Ray is not very exciting story but trivia none the less....

omigod Lynn--in EIGHTEEN DAYS@@@@@@@@@@

I am totally trying to plan what clothes and shoes to take--we are shipping down our stuff about a week ahead (because I don't want to deal with luggage and a disabled Mom) so that means "pre-planning!"

Can you tell I don't feel like working right now? All I want to do is think about how much fun this is going to be.

However, it's been in the high 80's low 90's there so I am like--rats! that means it's probably humid too (since it's been raining everyday!)

yes, it's coming up soon . . . almost too soon (but not quite soon enough!)

aww Im so excited for you:yay: I expect a full TR as soon as you return and I dont want you dragging it out for like a year like some of these people do:rotfl:
Lynn,

Thanks for the Amucking video! :lmao:

I LOVE your new siggie!! Great lightening bolts :scared1:

I can't wait till Hocus Pocus comes on!! We have it set to automatically TiVo!

very welcome and thanks for sig acknowledgment...i like it too:goodvibes

ok DO.NOT.JUDGE.ME....but i do NOT like churros...never have never will..i think they are very bland minus the cinnamon sugar...crunch and bland...caca....i love funnel cakes though yum...i really wish they would do fried candy bars...

oh that reminds me...Cheryl, have you had the fried candy bars at raglan road??? Im so going over there to get one when I go and you can just walk in and order one to go and they will make it right then:thumbsup2

Now that I am part of the read- and get others to read- Twilight cult maybe I, too, need to FINALLY break down and read
H A R R Y P O T T E R :scared:
I liked the first movie with all of it's cuteness (Loved the moving newspaper, the secret city, all the kiddie stuff)

Harry Potter is a great series and its really good on CD with narrating done by Jim Dale.

I think I'm going to buy some sort of middle of the road version of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" to play at our Halloween Party. The Disney version seems like it might be too short (does anybody know how long it is?) and the "Sleepy Hollow" with Johnny Depp, if I remember correctly, is extremely scary....Anybody have any other suggestions??

I love the Disney version of Sleepy Hollow, it's one of my favorites.

That is my favorite too! I have my dad to thank for that though. He started the tradition when we were little.

How can everyone talk about Halloween and not mention Charlie Brown?!?!

Ahhh Cristabel I love Charlie Brown too!!!!

Man you ladies are posting like gang-busters - or maybe Ghost Busters! Now that's a fun movie. My kids loved the "Disney Halloween Treat", and the DTV Halloween. Here's one of our favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_6D61cn-vQ&feature=related

I think these things are only available on eBay now. Oh, and I believe ToT the ride came first, and then they made the movie. Like PotC, but much less so.

I loved the last Harry Potter. I cried like a baby. Part of my faith, and Rowling's, I believe, is that those who have gone before us are still connected to us and can intercede on our behalf. There was so much of that in the last book. It made me think of my dad, grandparents, and friends I have lost over the years. Very touching.

I felt the same way. And I was actually redeemed because I swore that Snape was not a bad guy and it would all come out in the end. I was so right. I got a peverse pleasure out of it too because my family didn't agree with me. I was in the hospital when the last book came out. My right arm and hand were paralyzed and I could barely pick up books let alone read them but my nephew bought it for me. I figured out how to lean it against my tray to read it. It took me longer to read it than any of the other books because it was awkward but it was so worth it.

On another note everybody now needs to read Tamora Pierce and be empowered. Her feamle characters are strong like knights and such. Just ask and I can tell you which books to start with and everything. She is just about the nicest person too. I took our girls to one of her book signings and the girls had dressed like characters from her books. My youngest Kody got to introduce her. She personalized everybodies autographs. She is just wonderful.

Disney-inspired,
Charlie Brown!! Definitely. Although... like most Peanuts cartoons.. it's a little depressing!!

Kaoden,
Tamora Pierce, I think somebody else brought her up once sounds interesting :)

DWheatl,
Disney Halloween Treat: I spent the ENTIRE night tonight watching that on Youtube!! :lmao: Too funny. There are other fun one's too.. Disney Halloween parts 1-9

disnygrl3eva,
Churro's.... same as funnelcakes in terms of pretty bland w/o the toppings. True story. But toppings are GREAT and both are YUMMY to me.

Have you guys seen HALLOWEENTOWN??? It's another one that, in my opnion, is a great classic (even some of the rest of the series..all the way to Halloween Town the college years can be pretty entertaining.)

I have watched all of these movies on Disneychannel as well. I'm going to buy the Harry Potter books for my DS9. We can read them together.

Oh Charlie Brown

Travelmel,

It was probably me. I adore her books. And I reccomend them every chance I get.

LOL--we have completely taken over Beth's thread!!!!

::yes:: :lmao:

what about beignets??? do you guys like them??? I love them but there is so much powdered sugar and I swear to all that is holy, I CANNOT keep from getting powdered sugar on me no matter how hard I try:headache:

Oh I love the beignets from the Jazz Kitchen are so good. I have never had the Mickey ones in the park. And I don't think there is anyway to eat them without getting messy. Of course there is always bibs....:goodvibes

Aren't we supposed to while she's away

I thought that by doing so we were showing our love.:rotfl:

I like 'em. Just don't inhale when they are close to your face.

Love the Jazz Kitchen ones (except for the sugar--wonder if they would give it to you on the side?)

I hope Beth is having fun--I wondered if her MIL lives near the fires . . .
