"Amuck, amuck, amuck!" A Pre-TR (link to TR in the first post)

Those are great shirts!! Our Disney store had some t-shirts on sale for $4.99 and I got some for the trip - but it looks like our stores had different selections.

I'd post pics on my PTR, but I'm running out of time! I'm glad you posted pics of yours though.
Don't you love finding deals like tees for $4.99?? That is so cheap.
You are running out of time! Better get packing girl. ;)

Ok I'm going on Disneyshopping.com and seeing if they have this there. I love me some Grumpy.
I saw your edit that they didn't have it. I'm sorry. Maybe they'll get something similiar in. I'm always on the lookout for Grumpy items. If I see anything, especially that's on sale, I'll let you know.

I bought two of these, each a different size. I almost fit in the women's Large!
I used to wear XXL and now I'm down to their XL. I'm hoping to fit in the large by my October trip.
I love that. Cute shirt. And YAY for almost being in the Large!!! :yay: You're doing so great. You should post some before and during pics on our WISH thread. Then before long you'll be ready to post your hot after pic! :thumbsup2

UGH, I am so sick today!! I have no clue what I did or ate yesterday but it did not agree with me. :sad2: I hate stomach bugs. :scared:

Once when we went on a family trip to WDW (back in 1999 before the twins were born) we all got really sick. It was so miserable. Everytime I think about that trip I cringe. And since then whenever I plan a vacation, one of my biggest fears is one or all of us getting sick.

We've been on numerous family trips since then and most have gone just fine. But leading up to a vacation there is always that fear that someone will end up sick in the hotel room.

I'm especially feeling nervous for this trip because there is so much riding on it. It's our last one with APs, we are planning/hoping to do Walt's tour, we have the non-refundable Halloween party tickets, etc.

I can deal with large crowds and hot weather if I have to, but if someone got sick I'd be so upset. It's not like I'll spend all day every day between now and then worrying about it, BUT being sick today just brought it to my mind and I'm really hoping everything in October goes as smoothly as it did for our June trip. :wizard:

I hate getting sick on trips. It's the worst. I have bad allergies so sometimes those act up really bad on trips. I also have stomache and kidney problems so I've had troubles on trips with those things. We lucked out on our WDW trip in January. I felt great the whole time. So I'm hoping things work out for our next trip.

Just make sure you take your vitamins and whatnot. That should help. Oh, and if you're even a little bit of a germaphobe...wipe everything in the hotel room down with clorox wipes when you get there. That's what we always do. Oh, and make sure you wash your hands a LOT while in the park.

I'm thinking I'll have to go to the Disney Store after work!

I'm a complete germaphobe and yet, I've never thought about doing this. Guess I have something to do next month when I get to my hotel room!

Uhhhhh, noooooooooooooooo.

You'll be too busy having fun with the rest of us to worry about any ol' germs!:dance3:

The other day after we finished our time on the Strip we went to the mall and to the Disney Store. They had some tees on sale for $5.99 and $4.99 so of course I had to buy some more. Can't beat those prices!

I found two tees I really liked for myself. A Pooh Bear one and a Tink one. I'll be saving these for the March Girls Only trip though.

How funny! I just got this Tink shirt in the mail from disneyshopping.com last night! I must brag that I got mine for $4.25 with Visa Disney card discount, though I'm sure that I ended up paying more than you once shipping was added in. I also got a Mickey Mouse shirt and got a couple for DH and DSs as well.

Hope you feel better. Well on the bright side, you'll probably do well on the scale this week :headache: I completely understand the nervousness about getting sick. Our little niece and nephew (under 2) were over this weekend and we haven't seen them for like 6 months, as they live in Michigan. They were getting over some cold/flu and I kept trying to keep my kids from sharing food, sticking their hands in each others mouth (why would they do that, but to drive mom crazy!) I felt really bad, but I kept thinking, we're going to DL this weekend and can't get sick! So far, we're doing OK, but I'm sure it has nothing to do my germaphobic behavior, which about drives my husband crazy :sad2:

One thing I haven't figured out is how not to catch a bug while we're at DL. Seems we pick up some cold or stomach bug almost everytime we go.

I'm not a huge germaphobe but I do bring wipes with us, I refuse to use the comforters since those generally don't get washed very often, and we do lots of hand washing and use hand sanitizer.

I hope your next trip goes smoothly as well! No one should feel sick on vacation, especially at Disney. It's just not right.

I'm sure some wine will kill any unwanted germs. ;)
Shoot, maybe I need to start drinking now. :scratchin

Oooh, you have good taste in tees. :thumbsup2

I'm feeling ok. Just cold and weak. And how pathetic is it that I was thinking the same thing about the scale. LOL I guess you gotta look for the bright spots where you can find 'em.

I would have been thinking the same thing as you about going to DL. It's one thing to get sick, you just don't want it to ruin a trip, kwim?

I was so paranoid for our last trip in June because in addition to Disney, we did all those other sight seeing places and I was sure someone would pick up something. But nope, it all went great. I'm hoping for a repeat of that. With 6 people in the family, the odds are kind of against you, lol. So we'll see.

If I had to pick up some illness I'd rather it be a cold. Stomach bugs are the worst. :sad2:

Awww... I'm sorry you weren't feeling well :headache:

Very cute shirts! I saw some adorable brightly colored "vintage" looking shirts at our Disney store at the mall but I passed on them. Man they were cute though.

Hope you are feeling better!

Feel better soon. Don't forget, the nurse at First Aid on Main Street will give you Imodium if you need it. We found this out when DS got food poisoning once at the Acapulco on Harbor, and we made him go to DL anyway. Meanie parents, I know.

Thanks! I am feeling 100% better today. Must have just been something I ate. :confused3

I didn't see any vintage looking shirts at the Disney Store we went too. I love things like that.

Thanks. I've never actually been into the First Aid at DL other then one time ages ago for a bandaid. On that one WDW trip where we all got sick though, I became all too familiar with the First Aids in Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

I'm sorry your DS got sick that one time. We had eaten out the day before I got sick so I bet that was it. Sometimes that's what I hate about eating out, you never know how clean it is!!

I have a little bag full of medicine that I always take on trips with me now. I've got everything from Pepto to cough drops and everything in between. With four kids I've learned you have to always be prepared. Oh, and I learned that the hard way! :rolleyes1

Hi just checking in. I am glad you are better.:goodvibes

I was at Walmart this past week and was happy to see they had their Halloween stuff out. Finally! LOL It didn't seem like they had as much as Target did last year, so I'm going to head to Target tomorrow to see what they've got so far.

Anyway, I had fun browsing through what they did have and of course bought a few little things.

I always bake holiday cupcakes, so I bought some cupcake holders with pumpkins on them. Those will work for Thanksgiving since I already have some with ghosts for Halloween.
Then I bought some coloring for the frosting in the Autumn and Halloween colors, along with some sprinkles.

I bought a pack of paper plates, and napkins. Some Halloween pencils which the kids have already divided amongst themselves to use in school. Some "Enter if you Dare" yellow tape to use in decorating.
Two door coverings. Three plant stakes. And a light up pumpkin necklace that I thought would be cute to wear in the parks after dark.

DSCF5532.jpg

Everything was really cheap too. Each item was between $1-$2. I figure each time I go to the store I will end up coming back with a few things, so I'm trying to pace myself. :rotfl2:

Oh, I also found some tees for the kids. They were so CHEAP! Only $3.50 each!
These are for the twins. I thought the Ghouls Night Out theme was cute. (I didn't get a tee for Noelle because they seemed a little childish for her. I'll look for her's at Target.)

DSCF5534.jpg

And since I had to return Adam's glow in the dark Mickey tee, I bought him this one that also is supposed to glow. He liked it because it was spookier then Mickey. LOL

Thanks. :)

I know! Isn't that great news?!?!?!?

Guess what, guess what, guess what?????

This time next month, I will be loading the car and getting ready to head to DISNEYLAND!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

:woohoo:

You did good. I love the T-shirts. "Ghouls night out" gotta love it.

So this is off topic again, BUT if anyone is in the Vegas area while the San Gennaro Feast is going on, you should try to go! It comes to the area twice a year and it's here now. We went last night for the first time and I can see why it's so popular.
Here is some info:
http://www.sangennarofeast.com/

I took a few pics to share. My camera does not like night shots so it was hard to get any really good ones, but you'll get the general idea.

It's like a fair, you pay to get in and then there are rides which cost extra, and booths selling food and various items from clothing to lamps.

Some of the booths with the rides in the distance:

Lots of booths selling yummy things to drink from lemonade to beer and margaritas:

Live entertainment that changes throughout the festival:

Some of the crowds. It was PACKED! That was the only part I did not like. We should have known better then to go on a Friday night. :scared1:
DSCF5546.jpg

Some of the food booths. OMG, there were so many of them! Selling things like Chicken Marsala, Lasagna, Spaghetti, Clams, Stuffed Pasta Shells, Meatball Sandwiches, Sausage and Peppers, etc. The smells were so good!!! LOL

A sausage and pepper sandwich. You can't see it but there is a lot of sausage under the layer of peppers and onions.

Like I said there were booths selling all sorts of things. This one was selling lamps made from bottles. I just liked the Disney theme they had. LOL

I'm not sure when the next one will be but if you are in the area and you find out the feast will be here too, I'd recommend making a trip to see it. LOTS of yummy food and drinks. ;)

And I took these pics from my upper window. I just wanted to share the mountains that are around Vegas.
