I love old houses, not only for their looks but also the history they usually come with. Back in Traverse City, Mi where we lived for 3 years, they had a lot of old Victorian houses that were really nice. I wish I'd taken some pics of those.

I like both houses you posted but I'd prefer this first one because it looks more spooky.



Really? I did not even know it was based on a book. Thanks! I'll have to check that out. Does it talk about the Midnight Margaritas scene? LOL That's one of my favorites. Maybe I just like the song, who knows.

Well, I guess I'd better hit one of the near by book stores. I'm getting quite a list of titles I'd like to read now. Oh, and we rented the movie Aquamarine for the girls. They liked it.

So I booked my Priority Seating for Ariel's Grotto and Carnation Cafe already with no problems. But last Sunday when I called they told me I had to speak to the restaurant directly to book my PS for Cafe Orleans.

That is where we are going to have the Ladies Only mini meet so we are going to be a large group, about 18 or so, and they can't do it through Disney dining.

Ok fine. They transfered me over to the restaurant with the warning that it might take someone up to 3 days to call me back. Well, it's now Friday and I haven't heard from anyone.
I'm getting a little irritated because I'm worried that by the time someone gets around to helping me with this reservation, they won't be able to accomodate our large group at the time we need.

I called again on Tuesday (I think it was Tuesday) and left another message so even if they somehow missed the first one, surely by now someone should have called me.
I hate to keep calling and being a PITA, but I've got 18 ladies who are excited about eating at Cafe Orleans (including myself!) and I don't want to let anyone down.

I guess I'll call once again and see what happens. Wish me luck!!




ETA: I just called Disney again and they actually disconnected me the first time. Umm, oops. Ok, not a good start. LOL I called right back and told the CM who answered what had been going on and she put me on hold while she spoke to her supervisor.

Then she came back on the line and told me they were going to transfer me again directly to the manager of the restaurant (who had I been transfered to twice before then?!?!?! ) and she was also going to take my name, number and what time/date we wanted and send him an e-mail.
So either way, she said he should get my information. I did leave another detailed message so hopefully third times the charm!
If not......well, I am NOT going to be happy!




Update: I just got a call from the manager! It was cool because on my caller ID it showed up as Disneyland calling! Anyway, I was able to make the reservation for 5:30 which is when we wanted. Whew! Now all dining plans are set.

Well, I'd agree with her on Jack Sparrow.

Hopefully she'll hold off on the Chippendale ones. Those were pretty risque.

Being her Mother I would say love to be able to say the risque would bother her but I am not sure. She shocks me everyday. I am happy to report though that she runs the other way when it comes to what I call real guys. She is shy, she likes to shock people though and say outrageous things. I try to hide my feelings and not show it when she shocks me.

And yes Jack is hot. She used to have a life size cardboard cutout of Capt. Jack that I bought for her. She used to hug it goodnight.

Have you seen the new Johnny Depp one of his Rollingstone Magazine cover? Now that is a HOT picture. I tried to talk DD into it foor her room so I could at least have visiting privledges, and she had no interest. Darn Jonas Brothers taking his place in her heart.

Well yes. With 18 that's too many for just a walk in seating. I eould think they would appreciate a heads up about it.

I have two teenage daughters and a son on the brink he's 12. The hormones in our house are a crazy thing. They are back in school thank goodness, I needed the break.

JC Penney is having some great sales by the way. We went yesterday and they are having the buy one get one for 88 cent sale going on if you're interested. I took the kids yesterday and bought them each a couple of new shirts. I figured the prices couldn't be beat. We buy a lot of clothes at JC Penney. I find that all three of them can always find clothes they like there.

I've never shopped at Old Navy but that is a great price.

That's a great deal but nothing else for them right now. At Penney's they had the jeans for same deal. I even was able to get the deal on baby clothes. My niece is having a baby in December and she found out yesterday that she is having a boy so I had to buy an outfit for him. I bought him his first jeans.

Well, not quite, but almost. Monday will be the kid's first day back. Needless to say they are thrilled!!

Oh no wait, that's me.

Actually I thought this long, hot summer would never end, and now that it's almost over, I'm going to miss them being home all day. How weird is that?

Yesterday was a Meet and Greet with the twins teachers. And of course the classroom supply list they gave out was different from the one the school sent out, so last night it was another trip to the stores to get even more items.

Plus some new shoe shopping, and hair cuts for all. Including me! I got about two inches taken off. Just a trim really. Same style, but hopefully being a little shorter will give it the appearance of having more volume. We'll see.

This was the mess in our house getting the back packs and things ready to go. Well, some of the mess. It got worse after I took this pic believe it or not.

Today Noelle wants to go through her closet and pick out her clothes for the first week. Such a girl. I suggested Adam do the same thing and he looked at me blankly and said, "Why??"

Tomorrow I told them I'd make a big breakfast with all their favorites because once school starts it's mainly cereal and other quick things during the week. They all have different start times in the morning which should be fun. Noelle has to be there at 7 a.m.!! Then Adam goes in and lastly the twins.

I've been trying to get them back on a school sleep schedule for awhile now but without much luck. Guess they'll be in for a rude awakening once the alarm goes off in the mornings. Ugh, who am I kidding, I will be too! I am not a morning person.

Well, the start of school means we are that much closer to September! And once September gets here we are a month away from October!! And that much closer to our trip.

Yay for the first day of school! Ours was last Monday. My son has a 7:20 time because he is in Jazz band. My older much more mature(Hahaha)daughters school starts at eight. So it is like I just get home and then I have to wait for my girls to get properly beautiful for school. My 14 year old Kody always has her clothes picked out ahead of time. She coordinates all the way down to the socks. My 15 year old Kacy doesn't care as much about what she wears just as long as she has her make up on. They both straighten their hair. I always curled mine How things change. My son Loren is like yours. Why Mom? I am thankful for that though, two girls fighting over the bathroom mirror is enough.

DD starts college on Monday. Lots of drama the last few days. My students start Monday, so I went in for a couple of hours today to get some last minute things done.
Now I don't know if I can go to DL in Oct. We just found out DH's cousin is getting married that weekend. I picked that weekend because DH is in meetings all day Sat. and Sun, but the wedding is in the evening, so he would be able to make it to that. I guess it depends on if my friend is still interested in going to DL w/me. I just wanted it to be easy.
