"Amuck, amuck, amuck!" A Pre-TR (link to TR in the first post)

OK, I won't bore everyone with anymore of my hair woes. LOL Although I do thank you all for the advice! :goodvibes

I did actually do some trip planning today!

I've made two priority seating reservations. We are now booked for lunch on Fri. 10/17 at the Carnation Cafe. Whoo hoo! I loved it there last time.

And on Sun. 10/19 our last day there I booked Ariel's Grotto princess lunch for the twins and I. princess: I hope to get some GREAT pics from that.

Still working on booking the dinner for the DIS ladies mini meet we are having at Cafe Orleans on the 17th. I wasn't able to book it with Disney dining. I had to call the restaurant directly and leave a message. Since we are such a large group (about 18 adults) that's the only way they'll do it.
So hopefully, he'll hurry and get back to me.

Once that's done, I think I'll be set on reservations. The rest of the places I have in mind are counter service and snacks which tend to work better for our family since they are cheaper and less restrictive time wise.

Here are the pics of the older gentleman who was singing the Ricky Martin "She Bang" song. They really don't do him justice. (darn camera! grrr!) You can't see how old he is and you had to be there to see him shaking his booty. :rotfl2:
Anyway, he just cracked me up and everyone got a kick out of him. :goodvibes

We just came home from trivia night at the local pub, and there was the cutest old guy there, too. He had on stiffly pressed shorts, about knee length, a button down shirt, and suspenders. He also came in third in the trivia contest. Very sharp. I wish I had brought my camera. Thanks for sharing your old guy picture.
BTW, Kaoden, I knew I was officially ancient when I found some of the grandpas bringing kids to kindergarten to be attractive.

Hi Beth!

You know me, I am ALL about being off topic :tiptoe:

I just got the DD's hair cut 2 weeks ago. It was hard for her to give up her "long" - it wasn't that long- hair but she did and she has had SO many compliments I can't even count. She looks 10x more put together and neat looking plus WAY up to date. I think this would be SUCH a cute cut for you!!!

This is after the first "trial" length. I talked her into going a bit shorter after this pic was taken

She's trying to grow out her bangs so they are pinned back here

Back view-it's cut so that it flips up a bit on its own. Since it's shorter it's easier to style with just a little bit of product. I bet one of the reasons your hair won't "hold" is because of the weight/length pulling it down.

It's supposed to be "A-Line" but her hair is so thin/fine in the front that it doen't weigh enough to hold itself straight down. It's still cute though to have a little bit of a slant. It makes her feel like her hair is long still but it's quite a bit shorter in the back and looks SO sophisticated!

I think I will keep her hair like this for a long time. It's a great look for fine, straight hair.

You know when the kids were in elementary school I hung out with all the grandparents. I actually enjoyed their company and made life long friends. But yes there are some sexy older men. I mean Sean Connery now he is a hot older man.

Aww, that guy sounds cute. I hope I'm still out there doing fun things and being active when I'm that age.

That is a cute cut! She looks great. Thanks for sharing those pics. It's not too short either which is what I was worried about.
I think once I lose some more weight, I'll get something shorter. Right now as much as I dislike the way my hair is, and I know it's really too long, it's like some kind of security blanket I can hide behind. Weird, I know.
I do need a trim soon though. Definitely before our DL trip.

Sean Connery is very hot!! :thumbsup2

I think for me, his accent is also what does it. I love a guy with an accent!
Why is it though that when men get older, they actually get sexier? But when women get older, most of the time, they just get old? :sad2:

Off topic...hair tips from my SIL.
Try Amplify by Matrix (I think that is the brand...it is called Amplify, though) as your shampoo or ask your stylist what she thinks would be best for your hair. :thumbsup2 I also asked her how you can keep your curl, I told her your hair is baby fine and long. She said it is hard to say because some people just cannot keep a curl for long...even with a ton of product. She saidto try this: before you put your hair in rollers to put styling foam or mousse in your hair, then when you have the rollers in to lightly spray them with hairspray. After you take the rollers out, spray again. She said if you roll your hair wet, you can still do it this way. I hope this helps!

I also wanted to say that adding layers really helps. I have layers and it makes my hair look much fuller than it actually is.:thumbsup2

Great photos! Now I really want to go to Vegas.

I can give you no hair help. My hair has basically been the same my whole live. Medium length and straight. I'm so boring. I'm thinking I'll probably chop it all off and get a "boy" haircut in a year or two.

Wow, that was fast. Thanks! I'm going to see if I can find that Amplify stuff. Maybe I can look for it online. :thumbsup2

Thanks! You should come to Vegas. It's fun. Everyone has to at least say they've been once, even if they never want to come back. :rotfl:

I'm boring too. Or maybe we should call it reliable? Dependable? Consistent? Unwavering? Something besides boring. LOL ;)

Anyone hungry? Just thought I'd offer a snack to all the Trip Report writers and readers out there.

I like to bake so I made some Chocolate Chip Walnut and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies. Help yourselves before DH takes them all into work tomorrow!
But it's strictly BYOM....bring your own milk. We ran out. :rotfl:

I love White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies!!!
I bake all the time, but for some reason I've never tried to make them. :confused3
My SIL makes them! She baked me a batch on my last birthday! :goodvibes

I love a guy with an accent!

I do too.

Great Las Vegas pictures!
Sounds like some fun time out!

:lmao: I was having that exact conversation with my husband the other day!

I'm in LOVE with George Clooney! Oh and Pierce Bronson! **drool**

That was nice of her. :)
It was only the second time I made those. I usually make choc chip or oatmeal raisin, but decided to give them a try. They were easy and came out really good. Too good, which is why I had to get rid of them asap!! :rotfl:
If you want the recipe just let me know.

There ya go! :thumbsup2

Well? Did he have any words of wisedom? ;)

George Clooney and Pierce Brosnan are pretty easy on the eyes too. I saw Pierce in Mamma Mia and although he was really showing his age, he still looked good to me.
Maybe women are just less critical? :confused3

This link shows some pictures of some Halloween things up at Disneyland if anyone wants to see......(mostly just displays in the stores.)

Oooooh, really? I'm going to check that out right now. Thanks!

Thank you so much for posting that link! I love looking at all that stuff. (btw, I keep wanting to call you Jane because of your screen name, but I have no clue what your actual name is, LOL)

I already have a wish list:
the Mickey-o-lantern
the Jack Skellington lights
the woman's Halloween top (doubt they have my size though)
the juice cups
and the candy corn antenna topper

Gee, wouldn't it be nice to win a DTD shopping spree from the Dream Team? Well, just in case I do, I already know what I want. :rotfl:

ETA: I noticed that Target.com and Disneyshopping.com also have Halloween stuff up now. You have to search for it, but it's there. Yay!

I like the Mickey-o-Lantern! So cute! The candy corn antenna topper is way cute, too! Thanks for the link, Jane!
