Am I the only one taking the train to DisCon? I realize most people fly, but I have long preferred to take the relaxing train...:D

You know, I've actually been thinking about doing that instead of using my frequent flier miles, and just taking my time. I haven't been on a train in years. Guess I should see if Amtrack does that from Denver. Thanks for the reminder.

I love the train, but I would have to either take the train to Fort Worth and then take a bus  to Houston or drive the 430.00 miles to Houston. I would absolutely do it if I could just get on the train here. :D

Well.......never mind. It would take me 3 days to get to Orlando. Denver to Chicago to New York City to Orlando. All for a rate that's more expensive than flying, even without using frequent flier miles. And to get a room on board? Really outrageous.

Bummer Steve! :(

Have you priced trains to Boise??? :D

Can you believe that Amtrak from Penn station to Orlando for me and Dorian is only 400.00 and it takes almost 24 hours....A sleeper car on the other hand is 1000.00 OUCH!! I may rethink Amtrak or maybe if I come into some cash. I don't think I could do amtrak without a sleeper car.

I USED to take the train, but, now my DH is retired, and will be driving me!:o
