amtrak Sanford directions

Does anybody have good directions from the Sanford station, to WDW. We are staying at the POP, and I wanted easy directions. It will be the first time we have driven and I want easy directions maybe even not main roads.

The Auto Train terminal is off of SR46. Exiting the yard drive on the exit road to SR46. Take a left onto SR46 and follow to I4.

Once on I4W you can either stay on I4 or use SR417 (toll road). SR 417 is a longer route, but can be faster due to less traffic on it. Which way to go depends on the time of day, you are about 30 minutes out of Orlando at this point. If it's in the mid morning to early afternoon stay on I4 if it's mid to late afternoon, use SR417. Weekends, I normally stay on I4.

The best way to POP is to get off onto the Osceola Parkway and take your first right. You can use either I4 or SR417 to get to the Osceola Parkway.

In the station you can pick up a xeroxed map with directions in and out. It's very easy. We used it last Nov when we went to WDW and returned on the auto train.
