Amtrak question

Anyone ever take Amtrak? They are running a special where it would cost a lot less to get tickets for two stops further than we want to go. Would they let us get off earlier? I can't seem to find any information about this on their website. Thanks.

I'm planning a trip for my ds's HS baseball team and we are taking the train the week before Easter since air right now is over $600.
