I was wondering about how many pictures do you take on your first trip. I have a digital camera & a 35 mm & about 6 disposables. I will be going for on a bus trip. I will be in WDW for 4 1/2 days. Also can you take pics at the shows. I just want to be prepared & not have to buy film in the parks. Thanks for all your help. This board is the best!!!

Our last trip to Disney (my first), 8 days = 2,200 pictures between four digital cameras! Heehee!! Now, we probably took a lot more since we had the luxury of digital, and not wasting film, but its very easy to take a LOT of photos!!

We took hundreds pics on our first trip! :earseek: But, I am a picture freak!! And, there is a BUNCH of things to take pictures of there!!

They will let you take pictures almost everywhere, so click away! The only thing is there is a lot of rides and shows that they don't want you to use a flash in (they will let you know which ones those are), so just be prepared to adjust for that.

Have fun!! :flower:

Label those disposable cameras in case on get left behind or lost. Last time I was at the Lost and Found they had hundreds of camera and since they all look alike the people in front of me could not figure out which one was theirs. They didn't care about the camera they just wanted the pictures they had taken. In my opinion you can never take enough pictures.

We took a digital camera, 1 disposable and two 35mm. We went through 6 rolls of 36 exposure film and took probably 50 pics w/the digital. Make sure you buy your film ahead of time-it is very expensive in parks. Dh and I were in separate parts of the park one day and I ran out of film...I ended up buying a $10 roll of film!

I always figure at least 4 pics an hour (so if you plan on being in the park 10 hours, you will easily take 40 pics, probably more), but being on a budget, film is in that budget as well, so I have to control myself. Not including if you take pics outside of the parks, but I still stick to the same basic rule. Are we going to be at the pool for an hour-plan on 4 pic, etc.

Since I am planning much more in advance this year, I may up the number of pics taken, but not sure at this point.

Great idea on placing a label on the camera, I never even thought of that.

I usually go through 8-10 rolls. If you like characters or parades, then expect two rolls a day for those days.

Now that I'm digital, DH will have to bring the laptop so I can dump the memory card a couple of times.

We don't take the digital. We do film camera only. I go through 20 rolls of 24 exposures in 7 days. This is our third trip in three years, so I am thinking I will take less pictures this year than in the past. But I still bought 18 rolls to take. :earsboy: The developing is what gets you!

When we went on '97, we took almost 13 rolls of 36 exposures over a four night/five day timeframe.:) We took my parent's digital this past November, though. I was afraid how much memory we would have, so I didn't take as many pictures as I could've. When we go in May we'll take their camera again and our daughter's digital, as well.

My last trip in January I took about 800 pictures...it was so nice to have the digital camera and just erase what I didn't want...it was one of the best investments I ever made.

At our first trip in 99 it was around 400 pics means 12 rolls in 6 days.
Now we got a digital and it was 1100 pic at 11 days.

Take a lot.... you will need it.
