Hi all,

Anyone know if Amorette's cake class offers allergy options? I have an allergy to citrus fruits and I noticed it says the character cakes often have an orange jelly filling or lemon flavors.

I have called and left several messages inquiring but haven't received a call back.

For sure. I would reserve by phone and have the particular allergy noted on the reservation. We did that through one of the regular disney phone numbers (i think dining), not by calling amorettes directly.

DH has a tree nut allergy, including coconut, and we signed up to do the seasonal cake, which turned out be lemon cake with strawberry crunchy pearls in the center. The pearls are made with coconut oil, so they let us choose between the seasonal cake and a chocolate cake - they make the cakes beforehand and refrigerate them so they are ready for you to decorate, so they just made one of each for us and let us choose when we got there. We ended up doing the chocolate so we didn't have to worry about the coconut oil in the strawberry pearls.

I told DH his allergy worked out well for once - the cake was for a milestone bday of mine and i am a huge chocoholic and hate lemon, so i would have been kind of bummed to end up w lemon cake for my bday (though we knew we were taking a risk by doing the seasonal one).

We have a reservation that I reserved a few weeks ago via the website. However, I've been trying to reach them over the phone to note the allergy with no luck.

I didn't both with calling Disney dining since it seems like it would be Amorettes who can decide what sort of accommodations are possible.

From your post, it seems they allowed you to choose between the two standard options but unfortunately for me, neither of those two options would work. As one is lemon cake and the other has an orange filling.

I wish they had another method that could be used to contact them. 😥

I would definitely try the dining line. I never even thought to try amorettes directly, but clearly our message got through. At least it's a backup if no one from amorettes returns your calls.

Fwiw, our cake was pure chocolate - no lemon and no orange in either the cake or filling. The cake and filling were both just chocolate. Hopefully they can do something similar for you.
