AMEX discounts

Where can I find out about discounts when using my AMEX card in Disney? We will be going Feb 16-23 (husband, boy 18, boy 15) and will also be going to the Daytona 500. The last time we were in Disney was when the boys were 5 and 2, so it will be great to be there again. I love your discussion boards as I am rusty about Disney! Thanks for all your great ideas and comments!

If I remember correctly most of the AX discounts are used with your resort ID for discounts at DD and boat rentals !!!
Also, AX offers some packages which include disney dollars, but you're paying for that!
LOL!!!

Also, when you check in and use your AX to pay for at least two nights lodging at any WDW resort,
you'll be given a AX white glove treatment booklet and fanny pac!
In that booklet it'll give a run down on these discounts....
Dinner show discounts...15-20%
Merchandise at select stores....10-15%
Boat rental.....10%

Does anyone remember any others????

I used my AmEXP to pay for a one week stay and the girl was new who checked us in she didn't give us any info on the discounts available we only found out after we checked out and inorder to have no confusion with our bill we used our AE to pay for baot rental at the Poly. We recieved a 20% discount. It was a pleasant surprise. I think you need to use your card when you want the discount because we ate at some of the discount restaurants and we didn't get any discount.

Yes...you do need to use the AX card to get those discounts!
Even if you use your AX to "secure" your charging priviledges!!!

To all:

Thank you for all your timely responses! I do appreciate them. My 18 year old son will be going off to college this year, so we are doing alot of "last time together as a family" things. I do realize that they will not be the "last time" , it sure feels like it. To all who have small children, savor all the moments, they grow so quickly. Sorry I got emotional....
One more question, why did I get the choice option on the end of my first post? Thank you all again, there is much love on these boards!

you also get discounts on Fantasia miniature golf, and some of the special tours; it's listed in the White Glove booklet that SHOULD be given to you when you check in.

Also...one very last important note.....
You need to ASK for the White Glove Treatment booklet and fanny pak
when you check-in!

The CMs don't always remember to give these out!

I feel your pain. I can't believe how quickly my children have grown. We are going to use Easter to look at colleges. I think that we are going to go to Disney again this summer but next year she will be there with her graduating class and it won't be the same ever again for us. I know it has to happen I just wish it could be a little slower. Thank God for video cameras. And Thank God for my healthy happy children.
