Has anyone stayed here? I just won this on Priceline for $40 plus tax for 7 nights. It looks pretty good. It is going for $119 on Expedia. Now, I have everything...just need the time to pass faster!!

We stayed there in 2003 as part of a vacation package-timeshare deal, it was not very clean, and had a mildew smell. we requested room change, they honored that request, but the new room was not much better. I'm sorry I do not have a better review for you. It has been awhile, maybe they have upgraded since then. I do remember that they had a nice food court type area and an indoor swimming pool. They had a lot of scheduled activities as well.

Do you mean the Amerisuites Convention Center? If so, we stayed there in 2001 (for $18/nt. back in the days of Priceline bonus $$) and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms was decently clean (we're not extremely picky -- I'm sure there was a stain or two on the carpet or on the sofa, but that wouldn't make a huge impression on us, so I didn't make note of it), the continental breakfast was very nice (and free), the only problem we had was with the supply of towels at the pool. My DH had to go ask that the towels be replenished each time we went to the pool. Also, the elevators were a little slow. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves and would be happy to get this place again. Hope you have a great trip!

Yes, its the Amerisuites Convention Center. The recent reviews are pretty good, so I am hoping for the best. We stayed at the other end of I-drive last year, so I am looking forward to the change. What things are near to this place as far as restaurants and shopping? I think someone said a Don Pablos was near. I haven't heard anything about an indoor pool or a food court, so not sure its the same hotel. Oh well, I guess I will find out in 38 days....lol

I think 3disnuts2004 may be thinking of the Amerihost Resort.

Yes, I think it was the the amerihost resort. sorry about that. We are going to be in Disney March 5 too!!!

There's a Darryl's Restaurant across the street and an Olive Garden very close. We really liked our stay there (and actually preferred it to the Wyndham because of the free continental breakfast and kitchenette in the room). I know some people have issues with the Wyndham (we don't) but that's another thread ;) I hope you have a great trip!

We stayed there one night in June before moving onsite to RPR. I got a rate of about $45 (IIRC) on Priceline. I wasn't too concerned since we'd be there about 12 hours or so, just to get a head start on our quick vacation.

We had NO hot water. Zero. A call to the front desk was annoying in that they said they had no maintenance men onsite that late (around 10:30) and no other rooms to move us to. The room is fairly small, you have a small kitchenette, sleeper sofa and coffee table and a half wall that has the bed on the other side. The sink is outside the actual shower and toilet area and anyone lying on the sleeper sofa can see the person at the sink.

The next morning I was going to make coffee but there was a small sign inside the cupboard door stating that the dishes in the rooms were not sanitized to restaurant standards. That sort of skeeved me out but I've since been told I'm a baby about things like that.

The breakfast buffet was OUTSTANDING. Our only complaint was that we were there about 10 min early and while the food was out, no flatware was available, they waited until 7 am exactly to put the utensils out.

My biggest problem with this hotel was that while I was prepaid through Priceline, the hotel charged me AGAIN for their rack rate. When I checked out I stated that we had not used the safe (or even the shower for that matter) and was told everything was fine, have a nice day. I get to RPR and for some reason just thought to check the balance on my visa card. It took loading my entire family back in our car and driving back to Amerisuites and waiting until 10 am for a manager to get off a conference call to get it cleared up. We had to get Priceline on the phone and it was a complete mess. Totally defeated the purpose of staying there to get a head start the next day.

Was that your review on Tripadvisor?...lol
I was having deja vu.

And it is $40 a night. $325 total for 7 nights.

LOL did I review it on Tripadvisor? I'll have to go look.

Please don't think I"m a hotel snob, one of my very favorite off site hotels is the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird and most people hate it!

I think we just got there with a group of apathetic front desk people, and honestly, as long as you're going to be at Disney, you won't be in the room too terribly much to worry about!

I am hoping I get a good room, or they will hear about it..lol

Thanks for all your answers. One more thing, is this on the same side of the street as the convention center? I am trying to get a grasp on where it is. We stayed north end of I-drive last year and didn't spend much time down there. It's close to Wonderworks right?
