My mom called me on Friday and told me that someone I went to high school with was on the list and it aired August 25. Showed up in my hometown paper. He dated one of my best friends from 8th to 11th grade, so he was in my circle of friends. I'm just shocked! He went so bad! He's wanted for murder! He's the leader of the Hell's Angels where he lived! Unbelievable! Anyone else know someone on the list?

Back in high school (88 or 89), our neighbor was on the list. It seems he murdered his entire family in NJ (in the early 70's) and moved on with his life. He probably would never have been caught if it wasn't for that show.

Yes, twice. Both times the people were victims not the criminals. The first time was a customer of ours grandson who had been murdered. I don't know if they ever caught the guy who did it.

The second instance was a lovely young girl who I knew from a youth group. When she was 20 she was murdered in either Oregon or Washington while she was out there visiting relatives. After two years, they caught the monster who did it. I hope he rots in prison for the rest of his days!

No, thank goodness.

guy I dated for a short time in high school was on one of those America Most Wanted type shows because his wife was missing and assumed dead. He was a nice guy when I knew him so I hope that he didn't do it plus he was never convicted and its been 15 or 20 years ago.

Yes. Met a guy when I went with friends to visit a college buddy way back in the mid-80's. He worked with our friend and we all spent the weekend hanging out and going to the beach. I was interested in the guy but he lived 3 hours away & nothing ever came of it. Fast forward 15 yrs. I am working for a Federal agency at an office in a small out-of-the-way shopping center 150 miles from where I had first encountered this guy. We came back from lunch one day and the cops were swarming the parking lot. The bank had been robbed. Turns out it was this guy I had met years before. Seems he was wanted for bank robbery in several states. He was profiled on AMW and located in New York City. He committed suicide when as the police stormed his room.

It was really creepy - especially since I had been attracted to the guy. I had no clue - although his roommate had warned me to stay away from him.

Monkey Boy's not on that list.... is he???

Roberta~ did he work at McDonald's in Walpole?? I remember that, not too long ago, he was taking the trash out and was murdered.

When the show first came out my friends and I used to watch it all the time wondering if anyone we knew would ever be on it. I went away on vacation for a week and when I came back everyone was acting really weird, avoiding me and stuff. When the show came on the following week, they showed a guy from the week before being captured and he looked quite a bit like me. I got about ten phone calls apologizing that same night. Thank God nobody had called the FBI . . . yet. I still bring this up at get-togethers. Actually kinda freaky now that I'm thinking about it again.

No. The customer we had (his grandmother) lived in Quincy but the boy was in college down south somewhere... maybe Maryland or the Carolinas?

The kid who killed him was from Mexico I think and got across the border before the authorities figured out who did it. As far as I know, they never got him. All this happened about 15 years ago.

PoohGirl, I remember that, wasnt his name List or something?? They did a bust and age enhancement....it was a very big deal at the time as the age enhancement fit him to a T.

Ya, John List. That was by far the biggest score AMW ever had. He killed his whole family in Westfield, NJ - went free for 20 years - they did an age-progressed bust that was a dead ringer for him, right down to the glasses he was wearing - and they picked him up, bland and remarried, in Midlothian, VA.

I remember the story about John List also, being a Jersey girl all my life. Westfield is about 15 miles from us, and we now have friends that live there and visit occasionally. I work with a woman who remembered the daughter from school before she was killed.

But no, he is the only one that I "know" of from AMW. (thankfully)

Why yes I did, I would rather not go into the details. He was on the list but was suppose to be featured as the number 1 person on the tv show one week , but the cops found out where he was because of some stupid clues etc. he did and left etc. so he killled himself. His wife creamated him. I guess that sums it up. I didnt ask and dont want to know all the details but lets just say he got what he deserved. He didnt even kill anyone, he was more like a white crime collar person who made some very bad choices and decisions in his life.

Met my sisters x husband on COPS before I meet him in person.

He was as scarry in real life as he was on TV.

Not on AMW, but I saw someone I knew on the Post Office wall.

nealymouse- This sounds like it could be an interesting story!!!

Yes this guy my dad worked with many years before. I remembered his name because it was funny. At my friends house one night we were watching the news and they were arresting him for armed bank robbery. I sat up and said,"Hey I know that guy!" Then I realize my friends parents were horrified. There's also a movie coming out called 'The Last Shot' I knew the people it's based on. Not exactly America's Most Wanted, but a few have shown up in books on organized crime.
