America's Got Talent tonight's results show

Wow. Seriously? So we can't have different tastes?

Your post had nothing to do with taste. You said that kids her age shouldn't be able to participate in the show. The show disagrees with you so don't penalize the kid for being too young. If you think she's a bad singer fine. You obviously don't think that, you just think she's too young. Well she's not, as per the show rules.

I'm sure she is talented but I have no interest in listening to her whatsoever. She's just not my cup of tea. Obviously you enjoy her, you're allowed because we're all allowed to have our own opinions. It doesn't make one right or one wrong.

The piano player was extremely talented as well but he went home. Who knows what will happen.

Yes but listening to someone play the piano and not singing is terribly boring. Howie said it best. "It was like being at a piano recital."

It is not my opinion. Poppeycock had the highest vote tally last week and Jackie Evancho has had over 3 million hits on Youtube.. plus she is just the cutest little thing..

Michael Grimm is old and tired and not that talented.. he also has an extremely boring personality. He is not a star.

Alice is mediocre
Taylor is mediocre

Debra and Nathaniel are gawd awful

I don't mean old in an absolute sense, I mean old for an initial discovery, ESPECIALLY in the singing business. How often do you see a 40 year old out of nowhere, just take the signing business by storm. I can't think of any of the top of my head.. Susan Boyle does not count.
the true talent is discovered early.. Michael has been signing for a long time in bars and what not.. if he's so good, someone would have found him. That's just how things work.

Michael Grimm is only 29 or 30 years old and still young enough to have a remarkable career. He is multi talented and you just can't teach a person to sing like he does. I've been around the biz for most of my life. He's not out of his prime. The guy is good, really, good and will be a star. He might not win the million, but he will make more money that he ever dreamed, due to his exposure on AGT.
He was raised in the swamplands of Hancock County, Mississippi by his grandparents, Michael Grimm emerges from extremely humble beginnings to become a singing/songwriting/guitar-playing triple-threat of talent. He got his first taste of national success when, at age sixteen, he released the hit song John Wayne and Jesus earning him the CCMA Star of Tomorrow award in 1997. After several years of hard work on his sound, he arrives now with a huge catalog of arrives now with a huge catalog of meticulously crafted songs and a mature, soulful delivery unmatched by anyone on the market today

Now, Jackie Evancho is a phenom. She is set for an incredible life, doing what she loves the most.

Prince Poppy **** is extremely talented and very Vegas.

I also love Jeremy VanSchoonhoven. His dare devil tricks take my breathe away. I'm so happy he made it to the top 10.

All that tells me is that you read what you wanted to read. I even said I feel she over extends her voice, and it actually is under developed. Is she a good singer? Yes. Do I feel that she's the super amazing singer you are making her out to be? Absolutely not. Does she have potential to be a smash hit when she's older and her voice has fully developed? Of course. The show isn't America's Got Potential. Sorry you don't like my opinion but you don't have to insult me for it.

Again, that is YOUR opinion, I'm sure other people feel differently...like me. I feel that listening to Jackie is boring. Just not into it.

I didn't say the piano player should win, just merely pointed out that he was VERY talented and still went home.

She's over extending her voice, and it's a lot of glitz and glamour. Is she a good singer? Sure. Would she be in the top 10 if she was an adult? I'm not sure. Heck, I'm a classically trained singer myself, vocal operatic performance was the first thing I went to college for. And I do not believe even I would make it to the top 10 this year. She's a child. Besides a good but young and not fully developed voice, that's her novelty.

I am also of the mind that young children should NOT be a part of this contest. Vegas show, by a child. Not really something I think is appropriate.
Pretty much agree 100%. I do have to say that very few of the remaining acts would appeal to me as a show, onto itself, in LV. I mean, really...are there really folks out there who would pay big bucks to see Anya and Patrick dance??? Have to agree with Howie..it's a little sketchy watching two 'kids' dance such suggestive dances. And yes, I have dd's who dance...and have for years.

And Jackie??? Terrific voice. But...that voice is going to change. Maybe not as big a change as a 14 y/o boy, but girls voices do change..it's called maturity. I would imagine this young lady has a brilliant career ahead of her. Would I pay to listen to her in Vegas? Nope, probably not. And I do go to the opera. And she isn't going to be performing in any professional opera companies for a bit yet....she just doesn't have the stamina. Did you catch that last note??? She couldn't hold it...wavered so closed her mouth rather than continue wavering on it.

The bike rider??? For me...boring. Yes, I completely realize the kind of committment it takes to do what this young man does. But, it just doesn't appeal to me. There is no way I would go to see him perform. AGain, a matter of taste.

There is something for every taste this season. But to denigrate someone because they don't agree with your personal choices is juvenile. Everyone has an opinion....and no one's opinion is more valid than someone else's. I enjoyed the young may who played the piano. Actually, I would have loved it if he paired up with Jackie...man, that would have been something to hear. Nothing boring about a terrific pianist in my opinion.

Alice Tan Ridley can sing..she will be grabbed by someone to sing somewhere other than a subway.

I like Michael Grasso..he entertains me.
I like Jackie...enjoy listening to her.
I really like Fighting Gravity...too incredible to watch them perform.

My favorite??? Prince Poppycock...he is just amazing in my opinion. Here's hoping he goes all the way!!!.

Jumping in for the first time. I have only watched some of the show, but to me for an act in Vegas to get my attention it would have to be over the top, just like the strip itself. It needs to be exciting, attention getting, unique, screams "nightlife" and not really something I can see in any other city. There are so many shows/entertainment venues there, it really should be a wowzer..the way Blue Man group hit, or Lion King, they have that unique *it* about them even tho they are techinically stage shows/musicals etc. I think Prince P so far for me, has that edge...just outrageous enough to set him apart form the other singing acts and his costuming, makeup, props...if he has the stamina and creativity to entertain for a longer period than 1 song, he will be awesome.

I like Jackie and I'm glad she's in the top 10. We go to the opera twice a year and I really enjoy the whole opera spectacle. I think what Jackie lacks right now is proper enunciation. Her words all seem to blur together. I cut her some slack because she's just a little girl :goodvibes . That being said, I really hope she doesn't win. She is best LITTLE GIRL in the competition but she is not the best performer or even the best singer.

Agree 100%. I wish the other magician, Murray, has made the top ten instead of Jeremy. I think that the judges really put the nail in his coffin when they essentially told people that only ONE magician should go through to the top ten. Sure, Murray talked too much but his trick was really amazing.

He was my favorite from the very start!

I wanted to respond to this last night, but my post was running long.

There are many, very talented singer/musicians/writers, who are never discovered. It takes much more than talent. It takes living and breathing your talent... every hour of every day...and then a lot of luck and money. So, many factors can stop a brilliant career, before it's started. Choosing responsibility..like feeding and caring for your family. Hurricane Katrina had/has a huge effect on many performers (just to use that as one example). The entertainment biz is brutal...ask the "stars"..the ones who did "make it". There's always a gem, playing a bar gig, because he/she was unable to follow their dream. This is why I like AGT, sooo much more that AI...it allows us to discover a few shining stars, who might have otherwise been left behind.

BTW John Quale aka Prince Poppycock is 32 years old and had his first professional singing gig at the age of 11. He's been doing the Poppycock persona since 2006. Another, example of outrageous talent, that was "undiscovered". Considering the winner will perform at Caesar's for a year? I think, PP is odds on favorite. He's perfect for that venue.

I loved Murray previously. LOVED his tiger-switch trick. The problem he ran into this week was the talking. Too much story. It bogged down his performance. And we all KNEW what he was going to do...make the train disappear. It wasn't a shock or surprise.

What Michael Grasso did was a HUGE surprise because we all expected the chick to disapper, but NOT to reappear as HIM and for him to appear at the judges table.

The tricks need an element of the unexpected.

As for the Jackie thing, I personally feel that anyone who doesn't recognize this kid's tremendous talent is bonkers. That said, she should in no way be the winner. She can't sustain a Vegas show. I adore her and know she has bright future ahead...and I am thrilled AGT gave her the exposure.

Same for Anna and Patryk, Jeremy VanSchoonhoven and Studio One.
