Americans and Canadians culture Q&A Thread.

There’s also many theme parks to see as well. I think we should plan multiple road trips for the next decade to be honest. Like for the USA, an East coast road trip one year but including Montreal, Toronto, PEI as well. Then a year or two later, parts of central Canada and some border USA states. Then two years after that, some Midwestern and Southern states. And a couple years after that, the West coast of Canada and the USA. That way Disboards can pick with trip they want to plan for in an organized fashion. Thoughts @Frozen Canuck ?
I really like your idea of a time zone North American tour. I especially like the idea of hitting a few US and a few Canadian destinations at a time. I looked into buses that have beds. Justin Bieber's only cost him $2M, so if everybody chips in a few dollars for gas, we should be ready to roll.

You mentioned theme parks. Dollywood? Hershey? Cedar Point?
What are we all thinking in regards to Graceland? Grand Ole Opry? Biltmore Estate? Hearst Castle? Other destinations?

Thanks so much for offering to bankroll all of this Buzz! You are awesome!

Well if one of us wins that 1.35 billion tonight, we could buy every Disboarder a car. 🤪😂

Heck, we could just go the environmentally friendly route and bicycle the whole journey. Just give me three years to become a beach god first.

NY is east coast and next to Montreal and Toronto. Is Montreal/Toronto considered central Canada? It was just an example but I get your point.

I'm guessing you are saying NY State is next to Toronto and Montreal but that still isn't on the coast.

The drive from Montreal to PEI would take over 11 hours.

Fixed it for you a little and this map may help:

Back to the drawing board on the itinerary, Buzz. You're leaving out the Prairies, which means neither Prairie or Frozen or I will be able to show you all any of our great stuff. That will make us sad. :(

I didn’t leave out the prairies, I just was vague about the locations of this fictional trip.

Also how is Big Foot in Canada? I thought he was an American legend? I mean I know we both have lake monsters but I thought Big Foot was strictly American to be fair. I know the Yeti is in Asia and Skunk Ape is in Florida. How many legendary creatures are in the great white north (I feel like a Pokémon trainer at the moment)?

I was curious about that one myself. :scratchin Never, ever heard of him/it/them being in Nunavut before. Sasquatch (sometimes referred to as Big Foot) is legendary in north-central BC and the Ogopogo (something like Nessie) in Lake Okanagan at Kelowna. Others may know of different legends local to them.

I get that. It’s just those legends are supposedly similar to America’s as well. Champ is our version of Ogopogo and Big Foot is supposedly from the northeastern hills/mountains in the USA. Skunk Ape is his cousin in the south. I believe Mexico has a version of him too.

I do have a theory that lake monsters are real but global warming has changed their habitation schedules.
This sounds entirely plausible. Take some time to get this typed up, find a publisher, and then we will use your millions to fund the trip. We don't need @john7994 's measly $4 lottery winnings. I can't believe you have been sitting on this book deal all this time and not acting on it! It's like I hardly even know you!!!

Here’s a true story. A friend of mine lived in VT before coming to school in the Hudson Valley. She and her family lived by the area that Champ supposedly lives. She swore that her neighbors said they saw Champ. She’s a scientist but also religious so believing something on faith isn’t new to her. Her neighbors (she said) had never lied to her family before, so she tends to lean on their testimony with some credibility. I have some Native American heritage and most in the USA/Canada have stories about those creatures. In fact, some tribes actually gave offerings to the creature so it would not go after them. I actually hope the USA and Canada do a joint navy operation to find out more about our continent’s lake ecosystem.
