WE always fly on SW, but I found a better fair on American should I book with american? Last flight on american was a disaster, change of flight times, and a host of other problems. 4 hour flight turned out to be a 9 hour day. Should I give American one more chance or stay with SW. Never had a problem with SW. Thanks. Going to Orlando From Missouri, next May.

If you are going next May, how do you know how much SW will be? May is 10 months away, you will probably see flight changes with American.

Keep in mind with American, they will charge you $150 to change your flight. They also charge baggage fees.

I've had the exact same experience on American more than once, - each time a disaster. Never again for me. I will always pick Southwest over American. We've NEVER had a schedule change on Southwest, and only one time was our flight delayed. The plane almost always leaves on time. I also like that you don't have to pay an enormous fee if you have to change your flight.

Sometimes, price isn't everything. I look at convenience cost too. SWA is by far the most convenient airline for us because it doesn't have luggage fees, change fees or flight changes.

Every airline can have problems.

I would go with AA over SWA any day, especially if they were cheaper.

I agree! We'll always choose American over Southwest. In fact I did for my Nov/Dec flights.:rotfl: Of course Southwest is always ALOT more expensive flying out of DFW (even with American's baggage fees), plus they don't fly direct/nonstop from Dallas to Orlando.
