This might not be the right place to post this type of topic, so please let me know if not. I was reminiscing and remembering some of my favorite oldies but goodies from Disneyland. I used to love watching the American Journeys in the circlevision theatre. Remember that show? Does anyone know if a copy of that film can be found anywhere. I am not looking for the original version which was America the Beautiful, but actually the American Journeys video that ran in the 80's. It was awesome. I did see a 5 minute version of it on youtube. I have searched the internet high & low and can't seem to find any links for this version. I can not remember all the scenery, but I think it had some scenese from San Francisco, possibly Louisiana, I remember a camp-out scene and so many more. I really miss that show!!!

No, Circlevision was where Buzz Lightyear is now. I loved the Circlevision. It was great. I also loved America Sings though with the characters singing. Most of those characters went to Splash Mountain.

I think kuusimo is right about Buzz being there now. I also remember the show. One of my funniest memories is a show-off teen watching the show and not holding on to the rail, falling flat on his face. If I remember correctly it was sponsered by AT&T. You might try that route to find a copy rather than Disney.

Follow the link DangerMouse posted to yesterland....if anyone has it he will !

I think I remember the circlevision.
......wasn't the presentation called America the Beautiful?
The one I am thinking of, had you stand by railings throughout the performance. The video presentation was in a circle all around you.
That's what I remember. Anyone else?

I remember seeing 2 different movies there, an American one and possibly a China one? Anyone else remember that? I'm thinking someone, somewhere has the movie on film.

Good luck finding it!

I did follow the link- and it is a different attraction. You need to go to the main page and then the other catagory under tomorrowland. From there, it is about half way down the page.

America Sings you sat down, America the Beautiful you stood up and held onto rails. America Sings you turned in the theater, America the Beautiful you looked up at the 360 movie screen. Innoventions is now where America Sings is, Buzz Lightyear is now where America the Beautiful is.

I don't know how you would even play a movie like America the Beautiful on a screen since it was done in 360. I have never seen a copy of it. It was one of my favorite movies though.

Sorry, I had never heard of Circlevision - American Journeys, just America Sings. . . . :confused3

I knew Yesterland would have some comment on it if it were once a DL attraction, though.

I remember it! :yay: It was there in 1975 when when my mom took my friend and I for our summer vacation. It's one of the many fond memories I have of Disneyland. I remember hanging onto the railing because the vertigo got to me :dance3:

and the people mover rolled on by the waiting area. . . and since it was sponsered by whatever phone company they had HUGEEEEEEEE phone booths that you could talk to people on without holding a phone. . .

the movie itself got me sick to watch. . I just closed my eyes until we could walk out. . .
